Racism, regardless of what race it is leveled at, is a spectrum. Nuance and context ALWAYS matter. I would rather be with the lowest black man than the highest redneck or CEO. Blacks have contributed more to American culture than any other race, creed, or religion, and they have also faced more persecution than any group in the country's history (perhaps with the exception of atheists who are the most hated group in the United States -- but one can't spot an atheist by skin tone).

It's well known that America was founded on the shoulders of hard working, morally conscient outlaws. Also back in the day black people mostly had medical degrees. This seems possible to me. I also don't understand racism as I grew up in a place where I was the minority and everyone treated everyone else equally. It was a shock to leave there and encounter racism for the first time.

He was never taught it growing up under Dutch and Hosea outside of society. Tribalism is a human instinct but racism specifically is learned behavior, mostly by observing the adults / culture around you growing up
