I wish the world could be ridden of glue traps.

Labour-intensive process is an understatement! I can't even imagine that task of trying to remove the glued flypaper from the poor hawk's feathers. How utterly horrifying for all involved - hawk and TWC caregivers! Bless your hearts for your patience and dedication. How many hours did it take to remove the flypaper and wash the feathers? Talk about a spectacular outcome, however... to be returned to the wild less than a week later is nothing short of miraculous. It's a testament to the extraordinary team at TWC. Also heartbreaking was the other young hawk that was, again unnecessarily, shot at. Such cruel and mindless acts have serious consequences and I am grateful to TWC for educating the public on the impact. I know its recovery will be much longer and difficult, but I do look forward to updates and the eventual release. Thank you, yet again, for helping these sweet, young and gorgeous hawks, who would've perished slowly and painfully were it not for you. You guys truly are the best!!!

So many fishing line tragedies that can be prevented easily by people just cleaning up their garbage. It's so frustrating and sad. I did enjoy seeing the fabulous technology available to help our wild neighbours - it's incredible. Love the the entire TWC team! xo

Amazing work, as usual, TWC!! Love watching what goes into helping these animals. If only people knew that their brief, irresponsible actions lead to this work, they might think twice before discarding fishing gear so haphazardly. It takes nothing to be conscientious about how we dispose of our garbage. That includes washing out and crushing tin cans or putting lids on glass or plastic jars to ensure wildlife don't get their heads stuck in them. You are all amazing.
