It's sad when u think abt the fact that when she sang at Woodstock she was deep in the thralls of heroine addiction. And it would take her life a year later

Such a great band, but the lessons from the deaths of key band members are forever as proven by so many before and after them. And that is, “Don’t do Drugs, kiddies!"

This is perfect: Real old sound vibes. I'm gonna remaster it in order to get a STUDIO and live versions of it using the usual software. Hope to upload it without issues with KZbin. Ah¡ ... also there will be an edited version ... only songs ... and short breaks between songs ....

1.- Harvey Mandel played with the Stones in their “Black & Blue” album, specifically in “Hot Stuff” and “Memory Motel” 2.- I swear I saw Janis Joplin and Grace Slick chatting in the backstage!

Al'sreferencecto "Henry " was regarding Henry Vestine, lead guitar, leaving the band. Saw Henry playing in a club a few years later. Notice the modal changes and eastern music influence.

Late 60's they were an authentic blues band. Poor Blind Owl Al Wilson, died camping out in someone's back yard few years.

Alan Wilson was such a student and fan of the blues that he tracked down old blues players. When the said they couldn't remember how to play their songs, Alan taught them on guitar. Pretty amazing man...

After David Clayton-Thomas left, they were never the same. He has a voice like no other. A Randy Meisner of baritone. One word and you know who it is singing. They guy was incredible. Blame promises made... That fucked up a GREAT group who would've been up there with THE greats of all time. Beatles. Stones. Led Zep... EEtc. If they hadn't been promised things by a certain larger brother, they'd still be playing today... With David Clayton-Thomas singing lead. Want to see? What the Hell Happened to Blood, Sweat & Tears? A documentary about the band.

It didn't take long for Al Wilson to leave the stage when they were done, he was not a crowd person & was pretty much done with touring.

I became friends with Larry Taylor, back in 02. We talked extensively about Woodstock and Monterey. He was a huge influence on my career as a bassist. He was a great guy and an astonishing musician. I truly wish he was still around..
