My last name is also Hart. My grandparents immigrated from England. What fun if we were somehow related.(Except that I am a full foot shorter than you, but I do have your hair.) I so relate to the quirky humor. The world has become so grim. Thanks for lifting our spirits. Your gift is priceless.

After reading many of the comments, I must say four things: 1) This is BRITISH humor! It's often different from American humor. And humor & silliness is the point of the show! Not realism. 2) There is a lot of "slapstick" (Google it!) humor in this show, and it's not for everyone. But the wordplay is amazing! 3) Gary has his silly side, too, and really appreciates Miranda for who she is. 4) Watching just this one episode isn't enough to "get" this show.
