Thank you so much Great quick overview. Thank you for all the kind words. "Misty.... *again*? Sigh." made me lose it, thank you. ? And yes, pushing cantrips to burn spell slots is a strat for sure in dedicated duels. For Warlocks, we've found it's an interesting tradeoff. Start of the day they have a major disadvantage, but nearing the end of the day, other casters could be more burned (also... don't tell anyone, but in our upcoming system Warlocks can have more than 2 spells per short rest by casting below their level capacity. More on that later.) The "camera stare" during Chromatic Orb was awesome. Spells stop spells without "DC roll-offs", although you could certainly play that way as a homebrew rule if you wished. Also, Rule of Cool will always apply- if your GM thinks a corner case works for a surprise counter, even if the rules disagree, go with it. Story is substance. Don't worry... you'll learn more about The Void and Tenebrartion Magic as things go on... *cue suspenseful music*
