At the 2 minute mark you are marking up the surface very quickly without the imprint function, what tool are you using because that's AWESOME!

Do you unwrap or texture procedurally? If you do unwrap what is your process? If you don’t mind sharing.
@EridaniOpsCGАй бұрын
I didn't have to UV unwrap it in this instance. I'm going to make a video showing how I used material works addon for the textures. It's very quick

Wow, this is crazy. I'm a blender user, is it possible to import this model (with reasonable topology) into a 3D software like Maya or Blender and turn it into a game asset? It sounds challenging, i have no idea if this is a common workflow nowadays
@EridaniOpsCGАй бұрын
Yes, I actually do just that. You can export it as an obj. You can also use the blender bridge addon to live import while working in Plasticity. The bridge also includes it's own retopo tools for the imported meshes.

How can modeling in Plasticity be easily done without using Plasticity? This is a video on how to use that specific software. Complex geometry is why I use it instead of Blender

Hello, in this you can see the last 2 photos how it looked in Matcap in both platsicity and Blender. The plasticity plugin has a retopology tool that works very well if you want to automatically retopo between tris, quads, and ngons; as well as change the density of the polys. This particular ship was 30,000,000 polys www.artstation.com/artwork/obNaNB?notification_id=6137424014

I use to play around with fusion 360 as it was the only one that could do what I want. I haven't touched it for 3 years and now I have my first 3D printer I think I might give Plasticity a go. Seems user friendly and powerful enough to do what I need. The star trek badge got me here not plasticity so thank you once again star trek!

I used to use fusion360 and solidworks as a CNC programmer. For just modeling I really do prefer Plasticity for it's ease of use and considerably lower resource requirements.
