U covered only Gaothan area of Bandra (mostly original christians dominted area) . But today Bandra has changed so much. Most elegant buildings, most sophisticated outlets are there.

Thanks. A minor correction, if I may; the architecture was influenced by the Portuguese presence, not Goan . The original people of Bandra were Kholis of Maharastrian heritage who converted to Christianity. In the Chapel Rd and Bazzar Rd etc areas you will have noticed that the houses are built very close together; these were occupied mostly by fisherfolk. It was a means of self-defence against raiding sea pirates. Until about 40 years ago Bandra was a beautiful, leafy suburb with clean, broad streets and very little high rise. Some beautiful bungalows still exist but are rapidly being replaced by tall buildings; even Mt Mary's Basilica, once the centre piece of Bandra, has been over shadowed by hedious highrise! This, I'm told, is progress!😢

How is it possible that the streets are so empty?
@golamgram6 ай бұрын
Most of the streets covered are Internal streets in Bandra where there is not much vehicular movement but it is very serene to just walk and enjoy aesthetic surround sounds.
TOOOO nostalgic for My Mumbai...keep posting Bhai ji
