Now that's a great backing track. Thank you so much for this, it's incredibly good and perfectly captures the Meditation vibe!!! I've been jamming over this for a good hour and a half with Cory's neural dsp plugin :)))

There is certainly something absurd about the question if a god you don‘t believe in lets you into heaven. What I am asking is can we still accept and respect each other even if we have different believes?

kennet Iversen It is based on a Trainwreck Express.

Can't really say which one is better. Both have great usable tones. Green beret might be better for amps with less mids and blue in amps which has more hi mids. Green beret also must be cutting through the mix really well in a live situation.

The green berets are a perfect value for the price, by the way. The blue sound very direct, no compression, no sorry for mistakes in playing at all but my #1 for clean guitars. The green berets add some nice grit to the sound and have some sort of natural comperssion. The more overdrive, the more I'd tend towards the green berets. I like both of them.

I think the miking is off,the Blue is bright speaker and the WGS voiced to the "woody" sounding greenback.Also the Blue is more efficient yet sounds less loud here.

Hello, I would really value your opinion if at all possible please? I have taken one of the 12 inch (JA3066 - in super condition) speakers from my old 70's/80's Yamaha G100 212ll amp and connected it to my new Hughes and Kettner Deluxe 20 amplifier (20/5/1Watt) and it sounds great. However, do you think I would do MUCH better to invest in an new speaker such as the speakers you are comparing here? also, should I go 10 or 12 inch for home use? I like playing clean and also Hi Gain. Thank You
@stephanschmitt8166 жыл бұрын
Hi Bret, thank you for your comment, it certainly depends on your taste. I personally don't know your speakers, but I searched for them on the internet and it seems they play a crucial role in the tone of these amps. If you love your sound, I would stick with them. Besides that I certainly recommend checking out different speakers if you have the opportunity. I like the blue alnico very much but I don't think it is the perfect choice for high gain sounds. Sorry for I can't give you more information. I use 12 inch speakers (blue alnico) at home with a 3 watts diy tube amp with voltage/power scaling.

Thanks for your reply Stephen. I finally decided to get a 12 inch 60 watt Celestion Vintage 30 at 16 ohm because the alnico blue was above my price range and because Hughes and Kettner generally sell their Cabs with the Vintage 30's in them. Went for the safest option and it's great. It's just got a certain something that defines my sound more, especially with high gain. Thank you again for searching online for info for me, much appreciated :) BFN

I like the WGS speakers very much, maybe the Reaper might be an alternative, the Green Beret is also always worth a try, reasonable pricing. The Vintage 30 in my opinion does not work with every amplifier, but perfectly with certain ones, e.g. I got a silver jubilee Marshall Combo that seemed to be made for this speaker...
@BretAmes6 жыл бұрын
Man....... you know what ? I was sooo close to getting a green beret after I saw ytube vid about them. I just chickened out at the last minute and played it safe with the vintage 30. I kinda wish I had got through to you before I bought it, cos I think I might be using a g beret right now. But anyway I'm not a pro guitarist or a tone pro and right now I'm enjoying what I've got. Thank You so much though for replying to me. Really appreciate it Stephen. God Bless you mate Bfn

I'm very surprised to hear how much more high end cut the Green Beret seems to have over the Blue. Did not think that would be the case. Thanks for this. Great playing, by the way.
