Yep, you're correct. The easiest way I learned to remember the difference is that for the constrictor version the tag end goes over the standing part of the line then up underneath the natural letter 'X' made when crossing over your object, whereas for a clove hitch you just simply run it next to the standing part and under the initial wrap. Another tip, if you want it even stronger is to do 2 wraps of the tag end around the post/pole etc then continue under the X, then you have a 'double constrictor' Just be careful it is a super tight knot, hence the name obviously! Bro, your teflon coating is peeling off and getting into your food. Teflon is the kind of poison that once ingested, it never leaves your body. You will kill yourself with that poison, trust me. You can read it from google if you dont believe me. Throw that away immediately and buy a new one if you insist on using teflon coated pans.
