what weight was the NCK 304 ,,was she around the same size as a 22 RB ,, this is a great video very precise driving not to damage the truck getting loaded ,, thank you

Basically the machines are similar in terms of bucket size etc. In general, NCK 304/305 is built a bit heavier than the 22 RB. This is of course also very dependent on the versions of 22 rb. early/late model, super crane or ex. hoistcrane. Basically of course the 22 rb remains just a weighted 19 rb.

NICE JOB, NEED A TRUCK DRIVER THOUGH I RAN A 599c AS A PILE DRIVER, WITH A TRAVEL LEAD N DEISEL HAMMER. VERY NICE MACHINE WITH A SMOOTH SWING. MANY 18hr DAYS ON THOSE OLD WORKHORSES.

I notice this machine has what appears to be excavator track pads. Does it have a different under frame and if so what was the conversion and how difficult is it to do?

Correct indeed, this was a popular conversion in the Netherlands. Such undercarriages were produced by several manufacturers, this is an Interparts undercarriage. It made the machine more stable, more suitable for soft ground and less maintenance than the standard folding tracks. Many of these tracked chassis were fitted when the original chassis was worn out . So this is not an in-house build or anything like that. Original turntable etc mounted directly on this undercarriage.

Beautiful classic machine, high quality and built for many, many years of service when well maintaned. The saying "They don't built them anymore like this" is for shure. In Holland many draglines were converted to a tractor (crawler) under carriage with lifetime lubricated rollers and bulldozer (Cat) type tracks and grousers, Interparts in Hillegom converted many draglines this way. When the original engine needed a rebuilt, many were replaced with Daf 475 and 575 engines. I have great memories working on these classic machines, happy days. Thanks for sharing, great video's!

both levers piped up backwards what ever your choice nice machine but how could you sit with your knees on the dash for 12 hours? wasting loads of time throwing the bucet out 6 ft just drop the boom ?? all the money no idea

one was working in Meppel mid 60’s it belonged to de koning from schagen, they also had a NCK304 and Ruston 22HD , not RB, on that job which was site preparation for a housing project, many times i could stand behind the operator on the gray/red 304, or sit nest to the operator in the CAT D4 dozer, but he might have been independant with his own dozer since a few years later he also worked on a highway project in Meppel, done by Duursemafrom gieten

very popular dragline, also here in north america BE 22, Bucyrus Erie, i recall some 30 and 38 RB’s also as a kid, out here theres many of the larger BE machines still operating, few years ago a BE 71 was still operating on a quarry just north of Cortland NY state, just off interstate 81 highway

i remember 3 of those working at rembrandt kade utrecht early/mid 60’s, my grandma lived there and a contractor was doing sewer/water main replacement, i felt like being in heaven as a kid watching those machines, although they might have had a priestman cub also, which is smaller

nice video, remember those machines well, many had this color scheme, some were grey with red, a firm in utrecht had some red with white roof and blue below, gj weber was the firm, they also had good fleet of dump trucks here in canada/usa, those draglines were koehring, nck is european version, Newton Chambers Koehring, brings back good memories growing up in holland.

Een goede machinist die van deze machine houdt. Zelfs de klompen staan op de treeplank. En een goede machinist kan nog nauwkeuriger werken in fe maatvoering fan hydraulische graafmachine. Noot: hoeveel Nck's zijn wr in Nederland operational geweest? Ben benieuwd.
