Thanks, Gary! I learned something from your playing - I hope you don't mind me stealing licks. :-)

I am Canadian and never heard of this song before. I was raised on country music so I am surprised I never heard it before. I cannot stop playing this over and over. Such a haunting and beautiful song. I have since played other renditions but find yours to be SO haunting and beautiful Thank you.

This is the prettiest version of Lorena I've heard so far. But in the description of the song above someone mentions "Gary Payne on the banjo." Nobody's playing the banjo.

Hey Tom, Thanks for taking the time to watch our video of this old tune, Lorena. This was filmed live on a cold winter day on Johns Island, SC. The wind noise is live and natural as is our instruments... no studio magic here! The Bluestone Ramblers

@merlynschutterle72425 жыл бұрын
Just grab your banjo and work it out. It's pretty easy if you know the chord progression. It sounds better on guitar and fiddle though.
@johntait491 Жыл бұрын
@@merlynschutterle7242 I'm a fiddler and I can play it. John Harford did a good job his version of the song.
