oof publisher I’ve driven Cobras on the street and raced them. If you lengthened the wheel base it’s no longer a Cobra it’s just an open car with a big engine that’s nothing more than an aborted attempt of replicating a great car. Your messing with perfection

Although I’m quite Envious of this car i do have to agree with most of the comments about the roll bars they are off on this build Everything else looks great on the build except the choice of the Steering Wheel in the final pictures

Black pipes, double stripe, black interior,, white stripes, red car, silver reams. Color scheme, doesn't work. Red car, gold triple stripe, 2 thin outside, 1 thick middle, beige seats, gold reams , gold pipes. White car, black triple stripe, black seats, black reams, black pipes. Roll bar bigger stock pipe. Nice build. Thumbs up

I I can say to those complaining about the interior is, NO kit car is going to fool anybody that it is the real thing.ESPECIALLY when the car in question was made 50 years ago in ALUMINUM body and this is Mae of fiberglass!! LOL ONE Tap on the body no matter HOW detailed the kit let’s EVERYONE know it is a kit car!! So this guy wanted HIS to be a little more “convenient” to ride around with a drink or two...SO DAYUM WHAT!! I like the fact he got it made...the way HE wanted it, and plans on enjoying driving it!! BRAVO!!

I would not call a kit car a classic car. A chassis of a cobra is a tube cage like a mono cock not a frame like a lotus.

The cobra 427 never had a hard top variant. It was always a roadster. That's why the 1964 daytona coupe was built.

@@scp-mz9ur yeah but there have been hardtop conversions aftermarket and I think it looks really clean. Was hoping they'd have something mocked up or be able to make an additional part.

We do complete builds starting in the high $60K range, while they usually top out around $80K. This one had many extras, including tri-coat paint and custom sound system. However, you could buy it in kit form and save a lot of $$$. This one had a 5 speed manual, but we have built automatics. Nobody shifts faster than an automatic...

Does the windshield mount to the frame? The kit cars that had windshield frames fastened to the body became loose.

The windshield bolts to a steel "cowl bar" structure, which is bolted to the frame. Definitely not bolted to the fiberglass :)

In some ways, yes. Depends on what is important to you. The Kirkham frame is a wet noodle compared to ours, although their frame is very authentic (they have added extra bracing to the 4" round tubes not found on the original). Our standard rear suspension setup would obliterate it on the drag strip or a straight line situation, which is what 90% of our customers use them for, although we do offer IRS as well. Their body is aluminum, so it's really not what you would see on 99% of the replicas out there. That being said, we still like the construction of our body better. All kits have their advantages/disadvantages. That aluminum body might be great, but it costs more than our entire kit. You could literally buy 4 of our kits for less than the cost of one of their kits. In fact, you could buy over 6 of our base kits for the cost of one of theirs. I'd say ours is a better value for most enthusiasts. We have a much more comfortable car for anyone approaching 6 foot tall.
