What is the temperature it can hears to? I want to use it to bend rigid vinyl
@BriskHeat
@BriskHeat 3 күн бұрын
The maximum heating temperature depends on the version ordered. Most silicone rubber heaters have a maximum temperature of 450°F (232°C). You can order the SRL or SRP heaters with a 150°F (66°C) high limit switch which will limit the temperature. Keep in mind, heating blankets require a temperature controller. The -ADJ versions have an adjustment to reduce the supply wattage; however, it can not be set to a specific temperature. For vinyl, you should use a temperature controller to ensure it does not go above the melting temperature of the material. Our LYNX-SET (PID), TB250N-250, or SDC are good options.

Can this wired with 12/2 back to a breaker? Looking to apply this to kitchen pipes that are located in an overhang and they freeze in winter. Please advise

Hello SpringWell Thank you for the question. The simple answer is yes as long as the amp load does not exceed the wires amp capacity. 12/2 wire is rated for use of up to a 20AMP circuit. The TB250 has an maximum amp capacity of 22. Regardless, if you do not exceed the 20amp capacity of the 12/2 wire, all will be fine. Thank you

For safety reasons, heating cables should not be sealed inside a wall or ceiling.

Hibcan these be used for sublimation?
@BriskHeat
@BriskHeat 17 күн бұрын
Whether or not it can be used for sublimation depends on the transition temperature of the solid. The heater itself cannot be used in an environment where it is exposed to extreme pressures and the application temperature is limited to 450F (232C). It is unlikely unless the phase change takes place within these limitations.

I have to know my good man. Can it handle repeatedly holding say 180 F for multiple hours at a time? Have you ever boiled water in a drum with them for any duration of time, or is the temperature range just intended to provide a safety factor and only ran at a low temperature, I'm curious about it's rated run times at given temperatures. Thank you.

Yes. Our silicone drum heaters are rated for continuous operation at up to 392°F (200°C). www.briskheat.com/products/heaters/drum-container-heaters/silicone-drum-pail-heaters.html

@@BriskHeat Follow up question. Does it maintain a consistent temperature or does it duty cycle on and off to maintain a desired temperature? So if it's at 50% power, does it for instance turn on for 1 second, and off for 1 second, and alternate or does it remain at a consistent temperature without cycling off

When you turn the dial does it show you what temperature you are setting it ?
@BriskHeat
@BriskHeat Жыл бұрын
The controller does not show the temperature. This is a dial controller that goes from max temp to off. If you need exact temperature control, we recommend using a temperature controller with more accuracy. Depending on your needs, you could use a PID temperature controller like our LYNX™ PID TEMPERATURE CONTROL SET

How high can I heat water up to. I’m was thinking of making a shower out of one for camping??????

Hi Brandon, I'm John Li with BriskHeat. I don't normally come here but was just checking out a new video and saw your message. Has someone replied yet? You can write to me at [email protected] and get more detail. Water is a slow heating material. If the water is in a 55 gallon drum and it's full it will take awhile to heat up, but if it's in a pail (we also have pail heaters) it's much quicker and you can enjoy a hot shower quickly.
