If you're seeking a replacement for your combat armor, the Vault 34 Security Armor has REALLY good DT, good HP, and is LIGHT. Doesnt even cost that much to repair.

Just thought i'd mention this: You can get a good upgrade to your Hunting Rifle if you go into Contreras' room and hack the terminal upstairs, then inform Lefttenant Boyd over in McCarran. I wont say which gun it is cuz its a very special one but its VERY cool :D btw that idea with the service rifle isnt that bad now that i think about it. The guns skill requirement is low and I assume youve got a lot of 5.56 from all the raiders and Legion youve killed. Also check out That Gun from the back of Cliff Briscoe's shop and also maybe invest in a 10mm SMG. You have a lot of ammo for it and the dps isn't that bad.

43:00 i'm pretty sure the gauntlet shown here is a cut weapon from fallout 1 that they readded here. Early on in FO1 development they wanted to add the Vipers raiders as an acctual faction you can do quests for and join and visit. Theres even a barebones map called "VIPERS.MAP" in the fallout 1 files that clearly wasnt finished. Theres still mentions of Vipers in the full market release, however you can't encounter them at all. This idea was then recycled into Van Buren (Cancelled Fallout3 game) and after, into F:NV

Tip for fighting cazadores, especially on hardcore as you are playing cuz they're such problems, if you manage to long range their wings in VATS and cripple it they're crawl on the floor just like you were a second ago. Doesn't mean they can't sting you, cuz sure they can, but if you keep your distance long and your legs in good condition, you will defo win.

Fun fact about Nelson, by the way, since I thought it'd be interesting. Most F:NV locations are based off of real life (besides the obvious ones like New Vegas), Nelson is one of these as well. There are some very interesting differences, however: Nelson in real life is on a flat land like Searchlight or Goodsprings 5 miles away from the Colorado river, in the game it's right behind a cliff facing the Colorado. On top of that the town of Nelson is much larger in real life than in the game, mostly due to location and engine limitations.

About the ant mounds, there's one right by New Vegas but that's a looooooong way coming, although I do believe there's a radscorpion burrow somewhere around the right side of the dry lake, somewhere near the crashed cargo plane, and inside is some basic loot and a radscorpion queen but she's a big challenge, don't recommend taking her on yet

Also detail about the weird noises: They also appear at Bitter Springs because of the massacre that the NCR did there as well as the Forlorn Hope cemetary because of the... "unhappy" nature of the camp. Here's what the wiki says about it: (From the Forlorn Hope page) "When standing in the graveyard, one will hear ghostly voices. This sound can also be heard at the Goodsprings Cemetery and in the graveyard next to the Bitter Springs refugee camp."

Fun fact: In the goodsprings graveyard, there's 2 things i found interesting: you can find the cigarette butts that Benny smoked off when he shot you, and later use them as evidence when you acctually arrive in Vegas, and also if you sit by the Courier's grave, you can hear strange demonic noises, I'm pretty sure I heard a tiny slice of that noise when you walked past the grave. It's almost like something from above is calling you into the grave, like you were supposed to die.

How to multiplayer?

You can make obsidian tools… recipes only unlock if you have one of every item needed available. The fact you know granite pickaxe doesn’t matter, you would need a string and a pole on you with the obsidian to unlock the obsidian version.

Just a tip: to be really sucessful in this game you need to fish, it gives you meat, reduces your karma A LOT, gives you cordage so you don't need to take it from trees, you can just fish for algae and make cords and ropes from it, which will increase your karma even more, so you can use your fish to feed your snakes and when you deconstruct a fish you gain bones which you can use to make needles, its the most net positive thing you can do in the game early on.

I've found taming a couple goats early game helps a lot. Tic's your rep up like 30 points every time you feed them grass, seeds or whatever, increases you're taming skill and you can milk them, use the stay command when u get it or make a couple hitching posts.

l highly recommend you to NOT move with the arrows/wasd keys because this can basically active any trap. Unlike mouse clicking, traps can be avoid... thus it's faster, and you stop if an enemy gets close to you anyway. Just a tip. Good run though! l find huntress the easiest character to play the game, the others require more strategy

It's always a bummer to lose a character, especially when you make some serious progress. One thing I wanted to mention...in options... display/UI, there is a option for "aim outline", by default it's for ranged weapons only...you can change it to all weapons, this helps to see which target(s) you can hit with melee weapons.
