195hp/280 lb ft tq. Mopar should have shoved the big block, dual exhaust 400 c.i.(399.8) inch 235hp/320 lbs ft tq V8 under the hood with hi flow cats and F.I. for another 20hp. Then this car really would have been something special!

Windshield is NOT flat. It is curved. There was also a second factory in Forest Park, Il. which is where my Sterling was made.

Nice truck Chad but I already have a nice TT. The Ruckstell transmission is a big extra, these trucks won't drive over 35 mph without it as the rear gearing is very low. Fantastic to see it running so well and looks fairly original. You could buy balloon tires for the 1926 and 27 T''s -so that is not a problem. Very cool - in remarkable condition for a survivor - It's nicer than mine and has the FORD cab which is rare.

If it's got the TBI, just take it to the scrap yard.

@@CollinZ71 Nah, I've owned 3 of these, 2 new as company trucks. They were garbage through and through. Severely invalid makes no sense btw. Go find your mom so she can slap you.

@@moralobjection4836 lmfao “company trucks” likely a 4.3, and its east to shame a base model you don’t own. Also you started your comment with “if its got the TBI” proving your level of knowledge on these. I’ve owned three myself and I’m a full time technician. They aren’t the most efficient that’s for sure. But they’re simple, cheap to maintain and damn reliable. Unless you’re trying to run it on the drag strip there’s nothing wrong with a TBI. Vortec 5.7s we’re solid and made more power but it doesn’t quite touch the TBI in reliability. To each their own.

Everyone thinks I'm crazy that my daily driver is a nice 1968 short bed f100 but I guess I'm just crazy about old vehicles of any kind..but especially for old trucks. They all have a story. Sometimes you can just picture what it would've been like behind the wheel during its original time. There's so many memories made in a vehicle so just imagine the memories made from a 37. Some just don't understand a love for old trucks

LoL the power trunk pull-down. He said it's a Cadillac & of course it has one. FYI no new Cadillac sedans in the US have that feature. Besides it was rather pointless I/m/o. The first thing I'd have changed is that purplish dark window tint on all applied windows. That car deserves new 💰 Ceramic tinting in a lighter shade, as it would reduce heat & UV fading better than the old "faded" stuff.

Wow! My uncle Hugh Grant owned one exactly like this one, same colors, down to the fender skirts. He bought it new in Evansville, Indiana in 1951, and drove it to California when he moved there to Lancaster-Palmdale in 1953 to get married. I had one too, in 1964 when I was in high school. Mine was sky blue with a light blue top. All original.

This is really nice, and is the first one that I have seen with the rear chrome spear at the top of the fender subform. The 53 had a rear spear, but it was centered in the subform, rather than at the top of it.

In 1954 at LF Jacod Chrysler in Englewood NJ my Father picked up a 1955 New Yorker 2dr Chrysler. But his car had a dual 4barrel 331 Hemi. His car was not the 300 version, but the New Yorker. Dad drove this car and it was very thirsty for gas. But it was fast. The car he traded in was a 1954 Chrysler Windsor with a 6cyl flathead and Fluid Drive Automatic. Step on gas and at 25 mph released pedal and a audible click is heard and then car was in drive. Slow and anemic car. By the way, I was 11 years old then. I drove this car to my Senior Prom! 1960.
