Be grateful for that friendly snake. It is keeping your pest population under control. Snakes don't tend to make their homes in places where there's not a good supply of food. If that snake is hanging around your place all the time it's because you have a healthy supply of food for that snake running around your property. That is just a typical garden snake and will not harm you or your pets in any way. When it lays across your driveway like that, it's just getting some sun to help with digestion and warmth because they're not capable of generating any body heat. You are blessed and be grateful for your friendly neighborhood snake helping to control whatever pests population you have around there that's keeping it happy
