@@jeiminnypairkt9196 the video was made using a screen recording, at the time my iPad was my only camera and I still use my iPad as my camera and where I edit videos(in LumaFusion) my phone is not an iPhone and therefore it is very hard to transfer videos from the phone into my ipad and I would have to get and learn another video editing software on my laptop to do this) I have a way to get the videos onto my computer from the iPad however. That is to say it was not possible at the time and difficult now for me to do that! I have a tall stack of books I precariously perch my iPad in to record traditional art. The iPad camera is my best camera for close up! It’s part of why I invested in the iPad many years ago, it’s an all in one tool for my KZbin. I hope that explains why that was not how I made this video.

@@valasafantastic1055 i see. Pity. I really think this video has many good things to learn from but as I am not a native english speaker, although I can understand but fast verbal instructions makes it hard for me to catch up and it becomes overwhelming for me. Anyways, thanks.

@@jeiminnypairkt9196 no problem I appreciate constructive critique and feedback so I have options to consider to improve my videos. But sometimes there are limitations. I also advise rewatch Section’s as needed, and pausing the video often as it’s intended rather than trying to keep up without pausing! Hope it helps.

It is the same paper ! Same weight. It clearly says: 140 gsm. on all sketchbooks. Talens are a European compagny. We - of course - use gram. That is what it is manufactored in.. all testing is to make sure it is 90 gsm. The 'lbs' is just a convertion. A quick convertion meight say 94 lbs. but no quality control ever measured in lbs.! - So they used another convertion... or thouhgt it looked better with 90 than 94 lbs. at one time..... When using the metricsystem, one fall in love with everything being divided with 10. 94 lbs. looks like somebody just threw a lot of pulp in a mashine... and made a paper without testing quality.

you've got to try the $rama metallic watercolors , they are really good . I was chocked , I thought they would be chalky and yukky . they were smooth and buttery and very shiny. good enough for practice .

then you will love the 72 metallic set . i bought the 300 Kalour pencils and today I got the 72 metallics they are totally different colors except for the gold and silver. I was really surprised as the 300 has 24 metallics in it I thought for sure they would be doubles on a bunch of colors all to find out that they are all different . I too am in Canada

I like this sketchbook for charcoal sketches and gouache. I use pretty less water. I don’t think it’s suitable for watercolour. Beginners can struggle due to heavy buckling. It’s pretty smooth. Also, I would advise to use at least one coat of gesso before painting with acrylic paints.

Quick tip for all. You can just go to your photos on ipad and press and hold what you want to cut from the picture, then press share and save to gallery, and you will have a png of that cat for example.

They are probably cool not because of the rainbow color effect they can have. That part is probably fun for kids and casual artists. But if you carefully use them and rotate them as you draw you can stick to the three colors without having to put down and pick up one of the 2-3 individual pencils.

It seems great with most things I’ve been using in it! But some water soluble inks seem to never fully ‘set’ and become waterproof so they will reactivate a bit of you watercolour over them. Also many inks take longer to set/dry on it but this can be an advantage! I think using it for its strengths and enjoy what it is! But art and preferences are subjective. Maybe the off white rather than bright white is throwing you off€

One thing I would recommend is making a copy of layers you worked hard on, like the cat and set it as invisible. That way if you want to experiment with different ideas on that piece you can just delete it and then use the saved backup copy if you don’t like how it turns out. It saves time from having to hit the undo button a million times or having to reupload the image and cut everything back out again if it’s too far gone. Also, if you back out of the project and open it back up later it sometimes doesn’t save the editing history so you’re unable to hit the redo button. Always good to make a backup copy of some things and set them as invisible just in case.
