Shea diggs I’m not sure as I don’t have it on my phone, but I believe the newer version has a cloud icon you can press to store it in the cloud, so theoretically I’d say if you sign in to the app on your phone, you should be able to access it from there

I'm told that the newer versions may not have a title page on the app. However, the online version of CeltX does, so you could start something off in the app and finish it online?

Hi Helen, we sometimes get that message, but we always download the videos anyway: It's never had any effect on our computers, and it's the only way you can edit the film in iMovie.

Interesting question. I'm not sure if I'm honest. It certainly could be. I don't think I'd claim that anything in here is particularly original, it just synthesises a lot of the research which is out there.

I don't think you can position it anywhere I'm afraid, but I'm fairly sure you can have text any time through the titles facility.

Thx. Found it. It had to be dragged to the storyboard line and in there on to the click where to you want to add the text. And yes - one can drag it anywhere one wants ;)

marchello dodson It depends what you mean: The AVI format in which it records works fine on macs, but not necessarily on all editing software. I've used it with iMovie and Adobe Premiere and it has worked fine.

Not sure you can: What I tend to do is long press the sound part of the file so the dialogue box comes up, and reduce the volume to zero. then you can still put other audio tracks on there without interference.

Hi Myron, you need to connect it to your computer via a Firewire lead, which means you need a firewire port on your computer as well. The location of the firewire port on the camera is under a small plastic panel in front of the tape enclosure, which should be marked DV in/out. Depending on what type of computer you are editing on, your firewire port (also sometimes known as an iLink or IEEE1394) should look like one of the following: www.fusion-design.us/images/firewire-ports.png

Envoys, thanks for your comment. You can fast forward by double clicking a particular clip on your timeline and then a speed dialogue will appear. Just move it from 100% (full speed) further up if you want it faster, or further down for slower.

In addition, if you don't like the original narration, just click the clip again, take the volume setting down to zero in the dialogue which opens, and then use the mic symbol on the right to record another underneath. You can then time it perfectly to the footage. Hope that helps.

Once you've physically connected the camera and the computer itself, and turned the camera on, you can then operate the camera from your editing programme. We use Adobe Premiere too, and a tutorial on how to upload from your camera is available here: 2) Importing footage.flv It's pretty much the same for CS3 as CS5. Hope this helps...

Finhammedia ... Hi... At first I can not open the film in Camera on my PC or save it as a file on PC, i use windows 7 with adobe premiere pro cs5,5. I also use mac air with adobe premiere pro cs5, however i need firewire adapter to connect the Camera with macair. Is it possible for me directly importing those films from Canon XL1s by using Adobe Premiere Pro so I can edit it directly ? I am sorry for the inconvinience, however I do really appreciate it if it is possible for me using this Camera for my Film Project.

Holly Tinkerfee Hi Holly It is not possible to edit what is on your tape, without somehow connecting it to your computer to digitize in the first place. If your Adobe programme on your PC can't see or recognise the camera, then it suggests there is either a hardware fault with the PC or the firewire, or a software fault (this is less likely). If you get a firewire for your mac, and the mac still can't see the camera, then it suggests there is a problem with the DV in/out port on the camera itself.
