Hey, I'm not familiar with the three settings. Was this an aftermarket control valve? If so, what is the manufacturer and part number? Thanks!

Hi, no it's not an aftermarket. It looks like what on your tractor. How does your remotes valve lever work?
@Buttons_fix_it6 күн бұрын
Interesting, that doesn't sound like mine. I wonder if you have a double acting control block and I have a single acting. The lock (according to the manual) is to prevent it from being actuated when not in use. So I'd guess yours is double acting and Forward and all the way Back are your two powered options. Mine is just two position, forward is OFF and Back is ON. This works fine for me since I'm running a loader which just needs a single powered input line to the loader controls.

@Buttons_fix_it29 күн бұрын
Hi there, My 4506 the manual says to remove the fluid from the fill hole using a hand pump. I like the small red hand pumps at harbor freight and they are about $7, so very affordable. I'm not sure if there is a place to drain it from, but considering the manual says to pump it out I suspect there isn't a good drain point. Where is the hydro filter on your 6260? Thanks

I have a d4006. Your diff lock may be fine. Mine will NOT go down unless one of the tires spin. When a ture spins that is when you press the diff lock. While pressing down it will not click down at first. Keep pressing down and after a second or so it will click down and engage the lock. Its like a gear has to line up while the diff is slipping and once it lines up the pedal goes on down. You have to hold the pedal down as long as you want it locked because when you lift your foot off the pedal will come up with you and inlock the diff. Hope this helps. Ive jad mine arpund 13 years. Bought it with my home at the time from the original owner. He said he bought it in 72. Id love to see the terminal that feeds the rear rem o tes. Mine came with a blank terminal so no rear remote. I have an aftermarket terminal on it now that adds a rear remote. I'd love to see the oem one and how it works. Thanks.

Very interesting tip on the diff lock. Next time it is snowy I'll give this a try and see how it goes. I've definitely stepped on it, but not sure If I've held it down for any time while tire are slipping. Very cool that you got yours from the original owner. I think mine was just a quick pass through from the original owner the way the seller described how he got ahold of it, but no way to be certain. I'll try to get some better views of the OEM terminals. Could you let me know what brand your aftermarket terminal is? Thanks!

@Buttons_fix_itАй бұрын
I'm not sure where exactly that was in the video, but some people will crack loose the lines on the output side of the pump and bleed the air out. If you back out the banjo bolt 2-3, and push the primer lever for 1-2 min then tighten it up you should be good. Had you tried that already?

A few of my thoughts that you didn’t ask for. 1. 1300 hrs seems really low. But with as good of shape as it’s in and those tires, it’s possible that they are correct. 2. I also find mine is awkward to get on and off. But once I’m sitting in the seat it’s OK. 3. I’m always jealous when I watch your videos and see you still have the OEM top link! 4. A 2wd loader tractor always has traction limitations. The diff lock would help, but not enough that you wouldn’t still want a FWA. 5. The rear hydraulics being tied up with the loader would be an issue for me. I’d have to get a power beyond block or something. 6. Definitely fuel efficient machines. I’ve raked 18 acres with a bar rake and tedded another 8 with a 2 basket tedder and used 2-3 gallons. 7. I’ve found that Ward Brothers Tractor, Holtreys, and Burkholders Tractor have been good places to find the not so common parts. I can drop contact info if needed.
@Buttons_fix_it2 ай бұрын
Great to hear from you! I'll gladly take the comments : ) I had wondered if the hours were off since they are so low, but I think it is correct mainly based on how much tread on left on the tires which still have the "Made in West Germany" on them. I can't possibly imagine someone importing those tires as replacements, but suppose it's possible. For the seat I think I'm going to mod an adapter plate to move it back another couple inches which should help. I didn't know the top link was so precious! I definitely need to get that diff. lock fixed and see how much it helps me. Right now I don't have anything needing hydraulics off the rear. If I ever get a haybine or any folding rake I'll be quickly motivated to free them up! Much appreciate the lead on the parts dealers! I'll let you know if I need info and can't find it. Take care!
@michael_hawkins2 ай бұрын
@ Made in West Germany is indicative of the iron curtain. So most likely the tires were manufactured pre early 90’s. So they are likely original. And to your comment on new tires, I just recently priced some 13.6-28’s for another Ford 3600. I could get Alliance Agristar II for $530/tire. Firestone Evo’s were $755.

saaaaaaayyyyyyyy you live in the south aaaannnndddd the louffas may have sorta have taken over. and now say you have a wheel barrow of 60 or so louffas counting and they are all green cause they no longer sit on the trellis and now crawl on my lawn and then dry mostly save for it pooling water and rotting out. how would I dry and process 60 louffas with shoving the in my oven for five hours.
@Buttons_fix_it2 ай бұрын
You sound like me!! They basically took over the garden and were everywhere by the end! I ended up leaving two just in the house to see if they would dry out without rotting since someone commented on my short video and said that. I wasn't going to risk the whole batch to that though. I will have another video coming with my "batch" processing to save some time. Not sure when that will get edited and up though. I just put the oven rack near the bottom and completely loaded the oven. I could get about 20 in there and just knocked them out in a few evenings. I don't have a complete count since the kids have run off with some, but looks like I have roughly 75 from this year. Let me know what you end up doing with yours!!
