I like that Arin gets his own mission. Wildfyre continues to endear me. "My dude." Hehe As usual, the show looks great whether its a warm friendly environment or a dark and otherworldly dimension. The "bow-pa-pa-bow-wow-wow (mimicking airhorn sounds)" is timed with the background music. I like Roby on paper. I really wished that Roby had more flair to his design. Considering his personality and role, I wish he looked less like a background character or "npc" and more "hip" or with pizzaz. Dorama, Rapton, even Tox and the new master of shade have designs that had something going for them. Roby looks out of place? I don't like how Geo looks with his oil-green-yellow hair and his vest but I can't help but always think whenever Roby was onscreen, "I really really wish they did more." If Roby had a more showy design, it would help contrast him with his uncle. And Uncle Bleckt(?) having a rather ordinary design works for his character and role in the story. [SPOILER TIME] If Roby had more flair to his model the suspicion of him as the villain would have been more convincing. Uncle dude's ordinary design being the hidden villain works. [END OF SPOILERS] Anyways, this episode ended abruptly. I like binge watching and having episodes dropped at the same time but I still appreciate episodes being able to contain itself or stand as its own episode. Having its own beginning, middle, end, and still be part of the rest of the season. BUT! I'm wondering if this is a scriptwriting issue or a presentation issue. Maybe at the end when Frak meets Arin, we get a zoomed out shot of Arin surrounded by guards to emphasize the awkward situation and end the episode there. Instead of ending on his face. Just rewatched the entire Part 2 today! Here are my thoughts for S2 Episode 11: EDIT: Okay, I watched it a third time. I don't think its as bad when viewed from just this episode alone. I think I'm mixing overall season feelings instead of just for this one episode. The little detail of the paper getting stamped while the serpentine lady was holding the paper was funny. Also "YOUR OPINION IS WRONG!!" Is funny too! We love a little bit of Rapton. Anyways, maybe if I watch the fourth time with the KTP crew, I'll get more enjoyment out of it! I'll post a new comment about it if needed. BELOW: Contains mixed feelings of the overall season instead of judging this episode by itself. I don't know why but this time around it feels like my brain is hyperfocusing on the flaws of this Part. Normally when I watch Ninjago or Dragons Rising, I can see flaws but still have a grand time. Just enjoying its silliness and neat moments. Even though I disliked Crytallized, my brain wasn't as critical and flaw-searching when I watched that. I really enjoyed DR S1 and DR S2 Part1. DR gave me faith again. But S2 Part2? Things were different. Maybe its just me. I watched the leaked version and thought my mind would change when I saw it officially. So I watched again but now I feel even more critical of it. Dialogue has always had its wonky parts in previous episodes but it felt very wonky this episode and in the next ones. It felt like it didn't flow together nicely. Like going off a checklist. Rushing to fit all these words. Also I think there are some camera or storyboarding issues? So many cuts during regular talking. I'm no writer or storyboarder and I'm not sure if my criticisms makes sense to other people. I'm suddenly reminded how I enjoyed some of Wilfilm's camera work in classic Ninjago. For example, in Skybound Episode 1: Jay and Zane are playing chess. Cole approaches them to tell them something. The camera is pointed at Jay and Cole looking from over Zane's shoulder. Jay gives a bit of snark, Cole shows off his invisibility, leaves, and Zane brings up the future-reflection things. The camera slowly turns from facing Jay, Cole staying in the middle, and by the time Zane begins to talk, the camera is now pointed at Zane looking from over Jay's shoulder. All of this happens over a single continuous shot. There are plenty of examples in the Wilfilm era where cuts are minimal. DR S2 Part 2 has so many cuts and it all feels wierd. I'd say Wilfilm sometimes had bad camera during fights and good camera during regular dialogue. While Wildbrain has good camera during fights and sometimes bad camera outside of fights. Also, I don't like how Riyu's tear is an opaque, glow-in-dark cyan. Clear tears I think would look better. Well, this ones a nitpick. Also wished they executed the SR of Motion scene better. It all feels like theres a lack of grandness in general. I'm sure I could point out storyboarding/camera/scriptwriting flaws in previous DR episodes if I tried but I never felt the need to do so. Its really only this Part that, for whatever reason, my brain felt the need to write down my thoughts to this level of scrutiny. I'm wierded out myself. Overall, I get like a "rushed" feeling from this. Like the plot can't breathe. Anyways, I'm glad if people are enjoying and praising it. The show still looks gorgeous from a texture and lighting perspective. I'll be commenting my thoughts over the next episodes.

I aggree with a lot of points yall made and I cant wait to see your reactions to part 2 of season 2. I did want to point out one thing. at 3:38:00 Ras master is brought up. But I personally dont think its the source dragon of strength. To enter the shadow dojo, Ras needed source dragon energy. If his master is a source dragon, why would he have to wait till Jordana extracted energy from the source dragon of energy. He could have gotten source dragon energy from his master if it were the source dragon of strength.

(Spoiler alert) I swear, Wyldfyre is so unlikable in many episodes, especially in “Wyldly Inappropriate”.

This show is wild. I've never been too hung up on Ninjago lore, I didn't think Crystalized was that bad, but also, I can't remember what even happened the Season prior to it because episodes are only ever released 10 at a time and months apart from each other, and I just don't rewatch the show like some people do, but Dragons Rising has been great. I'm still not compelled to go pick up the sets, I'm notoriously bad at being convinced to buy toys from shows that are big advertisements, but the actual story is interesting, the characters are compelling, the animation is stellar. Now, pray for my sanity as I'm about to delve into the world of Chima just to see what I missed out on even though it's not likely to be all that important to Ninjago. I know it's not that good, but I'm a glutton for punishment so that I am in the know.

Part 1 of Season 2 was really good, and things did not go how I was expecting. The thing with Kai was very surprising, and I'm curious what else there may be in that Escher-esque place besides just the remaining four members of the Forbidden Five. And man, the stuff with Arin and Sora, I really like the theory you guys have about him going bad, and this will just add to his journey if that's what happens. Dragons Rising has been very well done, hopefully they can keep that quality going strong.

I have to agree with the thesis by the end of the video. Big Star Wars fan, been buying sets for years, and there are only so many times you can see a set remade, there are only so many copies you can buy of a thing just for that one unique minifigure, and there's only so much space to house all these things over the course of 25 years. The prices are insane, the fanbase ravenous, the amount of things still missing in LEGO Star Wars that have never been made from movies even 40+ years ago that are still iconic is astounding. There's been plenty good and plenty bad. If I have one theme that was my absolute favorite as a kid that wasn't Star Wars though, it was 2007's Aqua Raiders. Man, that theme was awesome, and it lasted a whole 6 months. I got every set, they were incredible, the black and yellow vehicles, the big monstrous creatures, and the delightful faces of mariners, it was so much fun, and then no more happened. Growing up I'd had a smattering of Adventurers, Life on Mars, some City stuff (back when it was still referred to as Town), but I'd never been able to get the whole lineup of sets before, and they were great. Nowadays, I'll grab some sets just for the parts and colors because living in Star Wars, you get a lot of gray, and even though I'm not taking things apart on a regular basis, having the change of scenery is great. I'm particularly fond of the Marvel Mechs (I haven't gotten all of them, nor do I want to, but the ones I've picked have been really good), and Creator. Marvel Mechs are small, they get me a fun minifigure and maybe one day I'll have a scene of the Avengers fighting Thanos, I've got an idea of what I'd like to do, just need to actually do it. And Creator, man, 3 models in 1, funky pieces and colors I never get to see, it's just nice to have something appropriately priced and there's so much that can be gained from them. I'll always love Star Wars, as long as there's something new that really catches my eye, I'll put it in a wishlist, but after 25 years, I've kind of done it all. Short of completing a collection of the first 5 years (or at least up to 2005 for a complete first run of Revenge of the Sith sets), which I'm not too far off from doing (the aftermarket is a killer though), I'm kind of done. There's just no more room. I'll get the yearly or bi-yearly MicroFighter (kind of serves the same purpose as the Marvel Mechs as small recognizable things with a fun minifig), see if there's anything worth getting enough stuff for the May 4th promos if they're even worth it, and wait for the day a Geonosian Arena and/or Droid Factory set gets produced, and just appreciate what I've amassed. As for the loose parts I buy from other themes for, I'll see what other things I can make when inspiration strikes, be it Star Wars related, some other Sci-fi thing, or whatever. I definitely used to be more open to other LEGO themes even though the primary objective was Star Wars, I don't know what happened, but now it's really time to explore what else there is LEGO has to offer.

If the realms are established to be all connected to one another, I just assumed there were migration patterns between realms over long spans of time.

The Administration feels like it's definitely a play off of the TVA from Loki, just in terms of how big of a cultural event that was, and given the two years between release Loki's release and this episode, it's possible to draw that conclusion as a source of inspiration. But the concept of a bureaucratic office outside of time and space is not new by any stretch, there's always one of those things out there somewhere.

I think what makes this situation so bad is that it released all at once (in typical DR form). Although Seabound released earlier in comparison, it released episodes on a weekly basis (with the exception of the last few episodes). We had time to digest each episode and get excited for the next one. But with this leak, you could literally just get the entire thing spoiled at once. It's insane. (LEGO needs to sue peacock...)
