I asked her about Whipstaff Manor and she said there really isn't apple. Apple is listed as a note that's part of the fragrance oil, and maybe adds a sweetness or general fruit ish note. You may like the Sugared Chestnuts and Apple Butter. I got that one and it definitely has apple, but not powdery Mac apple, and that Chestnut note that you seem to like. it's a sweet fall scent.

I think earl grey has a tea and cakes note :)
