Impossible to tell in a video how slick that hill is, but it really doesn't look much worse than what I climb every winter day with my Prius and winter tires. Just keep the momentum going and up I go.

Are you supposed to have TCS off while x-mode is on? I just have never gotten a chance to use x-mode yet.
@BimmerWon2 жыл бұрын
You want to leave traction control on when going high speed in snow. If the car’s wheels on the left go over a patch of black ice they will speed up otherwise and jerk your to the right once you come off it possibly into a guardrail. Low speeds however you want it off because otherwise it could cut power to all your wheels and you won’t be able to move since it will match the wheel speed with the slowest moving wheel. Turning on x-mode will then lock fast spinning wheels to deliver more torque to the wheels with grip.

We actually just traded in the 2018 for at 2021 Crosstrek Sport. I've had those Yokohamas on our old 2006 Outback Sedan and didn't like them on wet pavement or in the snow so much. This time I put on Falken Wildpeaks and I'm pretty impressed. Quiet as hell on the road, grippy in the rain on corners, felt comfortable on gravel with icy patches.
