Huh, at about 4:00 for a split second before the test, you can see an orange background reading out "To check out Comcast Digital (line break x2) Call 1-800-COMCAST". I wonder what that's all about.

Hm, at about 5:00 another very similar screen appears, with a green background, advertising some sort of utility company. It also has a voiceover.

I remember this storm. We did get hit quite hard, but after the worst of it, it got sunny again. Lol.

I wasn’t hit as hard as expected just south of Allentown PA. I had a Severe Thunderstorm Watch from 7:30 AM to 11 AM that day, but I didn’t have a warning. I got a thunderstorm around 9 AM that morning from the first round of storms. The second round stayed to my south. I did get a brief heavy rain shower late in the afternoon, but those severe thunderstorms stayed way to my south in the afternoon. I had no damage in my area.

I know I'm late, but the reason the EAS wasn't activated on that day was because so many news networks were covering the story already, so they figured that it wouldn't need to be activated with the widespread news coverage.
