Hi. Thank you for the video. I am confused as you say to not wet the leaves but then you also say to spray them with water and bicarb of soda. Just had to pretty much cut all leaves of my begonia as there was powdered mildew on all leaves. Will they grow back?
@PlantNationMinh
@PlantNationMinh 15 сағат бұрын
Hi Thanks for watching and commenting. The difference is not just water there , it acts as a fungalcide. Can also wipe the leaves if spray too much and it doesn't try fast enough. If the plant is healthy enough new leaves will grow. The new leaves will tend to be small initially until plant fully recovers from the powdery mildew. Happy Begonia Gardening ❤️

I'm new to this and a "plant guy" from Lake Charles, LA, so subtropical. My plants are succulents for the most part, so easy care and are potted on a patio where they stay 99% of the year where they recieve morning sun until about noon. I can move them inside to an adjacent room in the event of a light freeze. The danger is OVERWATERING, and we've all been guilty. Lose one or two and it'll get your attention! I use a wall calendar to keep track of watering. (I do have a plumeria, which is very finicky and I have to use extra care and treat it almost live a succulent.) I just write - with a RED Sharpee - on the day I've watered which plants, including fertilizing them. I've found this to be the best way to keep track and not overwater or overfertilize. Works for me! 🪴🌴🌵

Potassium is also used to encourage flowering plants to produce flowers. Cooking out your banana by boiling the peels in water extracts the Potassium very well. As for the smell, there is no oder if you boil the banana, and most of the commercial fertilisers have a strong over. I found this information unhelpful. Potassium is not only in the peel of the banana it's throughout the plant.

Hi Thanks for sharing your issue with String of Hearts Propagation. When it's comes to a cutting that has no roots it's different to a fully mature plant. The soil needs to stay moist for a couple of weeks before going to the care of leaving the soil to dry and then watering. Watch this video here on propagation of String of Spades, it works exactly the same for String of Hearts. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience. Happy String of Hearts Propagation ❤️

I just replanted it, and it's in a bigger pot than it used to be (I only read about how I should be careful with that later because of the size of the roots are not necessarily in connection with the size of the plant rookie mistake) and already watered is twice, the soil is moist, but I can still see the leaves curling up... Why is that happening?
@PlantNationMinh
@PlantNationMinh Ай бұрын
Hi, That's an interesting question. It could be that the plant is understrength from the repotting. Hi! Thanks for this video! I juat repotted my monstera as it was time and i thought there was some root rot (it was perfectly clean!) and i lost a few lower leabes as expected. But suddenly two of my larger leaves are getting brown tips with the yellow ring. Its been aclamated to the humidity for some time now i think so i was wondering if this browning could still be from stress of the repot? Also, some of my newer leaves are still very very droopy, is this associated?
@PlantNationMinh

Thanks for your info. Ive given up on this plant. I bought 6 of them. Studied all the right material. Religiuosly checked soil and conditions. All, thats right, ALL OF THESE POS PLANTS DIED. THERE just like cilantro. Its dam near imposible to keep them alive. So depressing to see money thrown in thr trash. Never can understand how these plsnts do well at the big box stores. Im sure the workers dont spend hours and hours investigsting these plant and their sophistication. All thsy do is water them and move on to the next plant, and yet the plant survives with no issues. i even tried contscting the distributors for these plsnts to see what the secret to success was, and basically was not told anything that i alreafy didnt kno. These plants SUCK for me in my opinion. To have to come at these plants like their newborn children and they still die pisses me off beyond belief.

What is the best way of repotting single tubers with extra long roots? I know the actual tuber needs to stay close to the top of the soil, but the roots are so long, I’m not sure what to do with all of that long, fine roots. If I put them all together in a pot, they’re so many roots squished together, is that bad or is that OK? My tuber always end up rotting when I re-pot them. I must be overwatering, but the vines are so limp and in need of water, I’m just not sure what to do here.
@PlantNationMinh
@PlantNationMinh Ай бұрын
Hi Kelly, the other option is to give your strings a pruning. This will encourage the strings to branch to make it more full. Also by pruning the strings are not as long so make it easier for the plant to provide water to the strings that are further away. Thanks for watching and your great questions! Happy String of Hearts Gardening ❤️
