Math is an abstract concept....requiring a way of thinking that is multi-dimensional.....for example: 1 dollar X 1 dollar is 1 dollar....most of the time.....BUT..a dollar is made of TEN DIMES. 10 DIMES X 10 DIMES is 100 DIMES (which is 10 dollars)....this means that 1 dollar X 1 dollar is technically 10 dollars. What Terrance was actually trying to get across is that our math system is based on capitalism....and NOT things that are TRUE and demonstrable. But most scientists are materialists and are incapable of thinking in a multidimensional way, so people like Neale degrass Tyson and Eric Weinstein will not "get" what TH is trying to say.

@@mikekelly702 that’s literally not how math works. You first said 1 x 1 = 1 which is correct, and than you said $1 is 10 dimes. Which is also correct. But than you said $1 x $1 = $10. This is where is doesn’t make sense. You changed the $1 into 10 dimes but your answer is in the wrong units. You than proceed to carry on with the equation making the assumption since I have 10 dimes that that equals $10, which is not In order for math to make sense, you must follow the same rules on both sides of the equation. To be honest, I’m considering this an “Elite Review” since there’s no way in chance that any professional mathematics individual would take your comment seriously.

You said that our math is not true and demonstrable but it clearly is. Tell me, if you have 10 dimes in your left hand, and 10 dimes in your right hand, how exactly do you multiply them against each other...in your hands, to turn them into 100 dimes?

Eric spoke on that and said that Math is removed from reality because you can do so much with imaginary and negatives. It's just a language that can be used and abused. Terrence is right in that it's a metaphor for how math isn't the physical science it claims to rule. Math as we know it. An incomplete math that's still not explored well enough to give us things that a full knowledge of math should give us. When we finally understand math, we'll have time travel and warp drives and a monetary system that works. It's going to get good, but not before people like Terrence say that there needs to be more and that more has to come from practical physical science.

I have watched a lot of videos on this conversation and I think this video is by far the quickest way to disprove Terrence’s whole theory. In most of the videos that I saw Terrence likes to ask the interviewers to name an example of where 1×1 =1. And since most cases are on the spot, they don’t actually come up with an example other than the operation itself. But this is the perfect example of how 1x1 does in fact equal one. You didn’t even go into the explicit reasoning or complex verbiage of why it does. You simply showed that it does in fact equal one. Thank you.

People this was Alex saw himself. He did not want to play for Atlanta. He wanted to go to Washington because he thought it was the best first career because when he didn’t come off the bench he wanted to play. He wanted to be developed and he wanted to be in Washington and he said it many times since the draft, so I’m sorry if he didn’t wanna go to Atlanta, but that is the case and Shea I believe in the long one will be into being a better fit in the long run then sarr would be in in the first place

Sarr isn’t sitting out if the Hawks pick him. Being the #1 pick, you can make up to 2 million more per contract than the next guy. He has no leverage. Things aren’t the same today with the current CBA as it was when Francis played.
