Let me give you some advice from one weird nerdy kid to another. Your ability to observe is not belittled. Use it to guide you through each situation that you go through. Your feelings in each situation will often be right. Learn that in time, people who value you will see this in you and will come to rely upon it. Remember that a fool talks to be herd the wise talk to be listened to. The best advice I ever received around taking to people was to learn when it the right time to add to the conversation. For example, if someone is talking about a holiday, you can add to the conversation by asking them questions about what happened or suggesting things that you would like to do if you went on the same trip. Never be ashamed for being a good listener. You will learn in time that most people just want to be truly heard, and you are capable of this.
