Is there a combo guide for the 40c deck? I’m new to this deck and really wanna learn how to play, but I don’t want to play a very long combo deck, including sunseed or therion.

The usual 40c deck plays Sunavalon, Raika and Rikka (cutting Aroma and Therions). This version is played by OCG players and plays very similarly to pre-Raika builds. The 40c version you are talking about (Aroma, Raika, Rikka) is something that has been experimented with, but at least to my knowledge no one has made a guide about it yet (there are people on the MD server or my server that you could talk to though), granted that type of deck plays very midrangey with very simple combo setups.

Hello. I'm poor so I was wondering if there's a viable line without the Therion package? I noticed Regulus is just standing there for omni negate

If you look at the Therion section, you can see that the Therion stuff does much more than just the omni-negate, especially with Lily being able to get the omni as well. Both Lily and Disco are extremely strong cards on their own. That being said, nothing changes with the lines (except for also needing extra discards), you can just use any other free Special Summon Plant or play 1 Melias combos.

is there any reason for not playing floodgate like rose whip? it seems like roese whip endboard is much stronger than other boards that are not using floodgate card. also what do you do in turn 2? in most case i have very few extra deck left and all the mosters in deck are really low atk. is there any way to recycle?

Floodgate discussion is at the end in the FAQ. Generally you don't want to go all-in turn 1 or play for follow-up, so Magnolia should be kept in ED, Rosemary can be recycled via Strenna, and occasionally Skeletal Soldier can activate his effs to return Rosemary and you can add back sth else with Strenna. Other than that you have Lily as Omni-Negate and Rikka stuff as follow-up as well.

Basically a free body, with how the deck functions, you can easily get to Rosemary and continue comboing evem through interrupts

Dancepione is pretty important yeah, just cut the Melias/2nd Strenna or even the Benghalancer or Teardrop imo

Great video, great work. I love seeing fellow Plant enjoyer having this much dedication. I agree with most of the points you made. As for Cactus Bouncer/Rosewhip, in my opinion, I think it's still better to have at least either one of them in the deck cause we're playing in a Maxx "C" format and pure 4~5 disruption board alone without any soft of floodgate hardly win againist 20+ cards in opp's hand. (Sometimes I even try to search for Cactus and end the board with Dryas + Cactus when hit with Maxx 'C' lol).

This is why playing 2 Mudan & 2 Konkon is a very real possibility so that we don't even have to play into a Maxx "C" heavily and can just end on our Rikka stuff + non-engine, but if you prefer to combo off then floodgates are definitely helpful!

It's very close, but sadly we are often 2-3 summons off of it. If you're opponent has drawn any cards some other way though (or milled them like Tear) it's at least an option (though you most likely get stopped in your tracks by other HTs).

You basically just go for Jasmine into Rikka Petal and do your Rikka setup, sometimes you'll be able to extend further with Strenna and Benghalancer, it's basically the same as OCG 40c lists at that point

You can make almost the full board while shifter’d you just burn a lot of resources. But you can end on Hyperyton, benghalancer, Mudan with konkon sheet

That's incredible..you can do this combo starting with a normal instead of a special Summon? You started with Dai but this can happen even if you start with Loci?

Sadly not, since both Bouncer and Bamboo Shoot both require a Normal Summon, and while you can summon both Smol Jasmine and Circle of the Fairies, you can only obtain an extra Normal Summon via their effects once. But you can do either with the Loci start easily

If you start only with Loci i think you can either end with Cactus or Bamboo because you can use Jasmine to gain the normal Summon and then special Camella with Snowdrop and then use the additional normal to Summon Bamboo I would prefer Bamboo over Cactus because we have many Monster interruptions and with Bamboo Is basically FTK

Thats too much cocking there is no real benefits of these extra engines just play it surly make your build less breaky i know you have alot of starters but this build is too weak going second and for all the players dont rely on 1 card to play the game just improve your build by not making it breaky and play as much as possible non engine card dont make your mind that any combo will go through put in your mind in this format you gonna hit every single with 2 hand traps dont rely on locks dont play more than one that will make your board stronger with the variety of intereption you have And thats a very good combo i wish you the best but don't rely on its gonna go through 😅😅

Bro that's awesome. I'll try to memorize it all. It'll probably take me a week but I think it'll be worth it. I can't wait to play against my friends with this combo. You can definitely do a few other combos the way you built the deck (if you can't do the combo here). Is there any way to make the build a bit more brick-proof? What do you not necessarily need or can you maybe leave out completely?

You can add or remove pretty much everything you want to. Usually you can only go for either Cactus Bouncer or Bamboo Shoot (because we can only really get 2 Normal Summons at most), and the Link 4 Sunavalon + the trap aren't that necessary either. You could watch my other vids for more basic combos/for a baseline on what you can do.

@@mliamgroot7785 Ah yes Moe, I know him. That's definitely a good start for TCG combos. As for the shuffling (if you mean in EDOPro/YGOPro), go into the deckbuilder and change the hand test settings on the top left.

@@Yusodus I have a total of 4-5 combos so far. 1 combo with Loci 2 Combo with Rosalina 3 Combo with Blend 5 Combo with Loci (Full Lockdown Combo) 4 Combo with Raika No Marikoube (How do you shuffle spells and traps into the deck at the beginning?) Oh wait. I think I got it now. I looked at the combo again. You only shuffle the other cards into the deck to have only Raika No Marikoube in your hand, right?

@@mliamgroot7785 Oh yeah, you mean in the other videos. Yeah I just shuffle all unnecessary cards back, since its supposed to be a 1 card combo. Also shows that Aroma Blend doesn't need an extra card as discard because of Therions.

Dancepione and the Aroma Fusion are flex spots, but personally I wouldn't cut them (you could add Thrasher and the Sunavalon Link-4 for example)

Droplets can replace any non-engine, though I already added Crossout Designators in my updated list and went from 17 to 20 non-engine and prefer all of them over Droplets (at least if you could play them in this current meta, though that might obviously change with the release of Raika)

You dont need an opponent when you play this dexk 😂. Is the aroma spell and trap that important? I feel like having 2 more pieces of none engine is worth more than 2 more extenders. Speaking of non engine,how well does this perform going second?

With this 1 card Raika combo you do need both of them, but if you want a weaker 1 card Raika combo with generally lower ceiling cutting them is fine. (With 1 card Loci you would need Blessed Winds to go full combo, but it's not necessary to go "full combo" as seen here, again, can cut them for lower ceiling: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2HVnaBtbdCDrNU) Considering we are playing 60 cards, and it's possible to go 20 non-engine, it's not too bad at going 2nd. It's roughly running 15 non-engine in 45 which is average.

If you wanna play with Raikas then yes. Cutting it down to 40 or close to 40 means that you have to try to shove 5 engines into it and you will have to play significantly less non-engine. Technically you could cut down certain engines to singular copies of cards, but that doesn't seem optimal.

Technically we don't use his Special Summon effect, so drawing him can still be an extender, but you can definitely cut some cards down and play extra non-engine (I included Crossout Designators now for example). And there already is a combo that starts with Loci and uses the full pile though it uses some extra bricks: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2HVnaBtbdCDrNU I can try a Loci combo with just our normal engine if you want to, but this other video illustrates well what you can do.

I not use loci route if I oppen with Raika, because it's back up plan. I prefer to ss rosalina by efeck of Jasmin to minimize resource from ex deck.

the issue is they are all bricks that to me sound like win more, i am not sure if my combo is fully optimal ; right now i hv 5-6 interruptions w/o major bricks.@@Yusodus

@@vedantgupta2145 Do you mean that the Aromas are win more? They are far from it, every single one of them can act as an extender and can be searched by Rosemary which you should be playing anyways. I can understand cutting Blend and whatever Winds you would be playing (and therefore the Fusion as well), but the rest are just good cards. And if you're talking about cutting them in a 40 card version, then you should cut Raikas first. If you mean the combo I linked and stuff like the Link 4 Sunavalon + Trap and Cactus Bouncer then I agree, those are bricks.

i am on 47 cards right now with 12 hard going second cards. Aromas dont really help through interruption tho while raikas do. I just think that our 1 card combo is so powerful already that these cards arent required. @@Yusodus

@@vedantgupta2145 I can get to 5 interrupts as well with 2 Melias + Thrasher and 6 if 3 Melias + Thrasher, but even just adding 1xRosalina/1xLaurel makes the lines way better because it enables the early 3 Jasmine searches as seen in the Loci video. You could also check my other video where I have a 60 card list where I could run 20 non-engine minimum (right now I think that list shows 17)

I actually always prefer to start with makikoube The special summon effect. Right now I'm trying to develop combos that can preserve the special summon on the link 2 raika and the normal summon so that you can recover from the nib. This combo line will probably be where i start from
