The beauty of the accordion is that it does not need electronic gadgetry to produce beautiful music. It is one of the few instruments that does not need accompaniment by other instruments. And, unlike the piano, it is mobile. And, if you are hosting a party, it is lot cheaper to hire one accordionist than an entire combo or band, which is why the accordion remains popular for weddings, anniversary parties, etc.

I'm thinking about purchasing one of these but the styles seem what somewhat dated. Is there a style creator for this machine?

In 38 years of making a living playing accordion I have rarely come across someone who plays so badly and has the cheek to call themselves a professional accordionist.

The strumming is amazing to hear thru a keyboard...very nice useful effect.

I agree that the real benefit of this is to behave as if you are NOT struggling to play the pedals. Perhaps sit on a bar-type stool in a calm, cool manner and flick the pedals that way, but don't look down.

I'm really struggling with Ketron. While I would like to buy, I'm finding it difficult to find support. I'm wanting to use one with a midi guitar instead of a keyboard. Any ideas.

Hate to be odd man out, but Fellas, there is an easier way. Feed the module sequences via the midi in port. Same great sounds, but it eliminates that "repetitive" sound of the patterns. Downside is you have to build the sequences, but it sure stops the "yawning" when folks hear you on the second or third song. Just my take

Midi bass pedals used are KETRON K8.Footswitch (programmable) used to activate start/stop, fill ins and breaks, intro/ending ... etc are KETRON FS6 (there is also a FS13 if you need more functions assigned to your feet). This product has been replaced with the new KETRON AUDYA and KETRON MIDJAY PRO!

Nice way to show the abilities of the Ketron setup, however (I am being kind here), you are nowhere close to being an expert accordion player. I'd be embarrassed to state this if I was you, because your mastery of the accordion... is beginner at best! It makes me wonder what were you doing for the other 47 years, because practicing certainly was NOT one of them. Now, had you said, you just started, perhaps 6 months ago, your playing would have reflected this. Who are you trying to fool and what was the reason for putting up this video... besides embarrassing yourself?

My SD5 is causing problems. When I an using the auto settings at times the right hand keys go all funny and seam out of tune. Any idea what can be causing it? I have asked around a bit and apparently its a common problem. Not what I would expect from a top of the range keyboard and at the price it cost.

_ I played one of these standing up for many years but no one would ever know I was triggering the notes with my feet. I don't think Ron had been at this very long when this was recorded as he is not familiar with the notes and has to look down and move around too much. I never-ever --have to look down as its like playing piano--practice makes perfect !! But, no disrespect to the guy at all except it does not look natural.
