Considering that Brandi was the headliner, and Sarah was opening for her, I thought it was classy for Brandi to put the importance of Sarah and the Gorge into context for those (and there were many there) that didn't know the history. Hope you enjoyed the rest of the video though.

Sarah had with her long time guitarist Luke Doucet and part time backup vocals Melissa McCleland. Luke and Melissa are now Whitehorse and ... married since 2006.

Right. As mentioned for those who have previously made the same observation I intentionally titled the video as Major Tom (in quotes) for familiarity purposes as I've found the character's name seems to be more associated (albeit mistakenly) as the songs title.

I watched Brandi for my first time ever on Phx PBS & was completely blown away by her stage presence & how at ease she was throughout the performance. The sound quality on TV was so much better than this. She is a Pro!!

@@MrPoodleguy , BCB live is amazing. Understanding that this video was taken on my phone the sound quality is what it is even with editing (EQ etc). A friend told me they watched the video on their TV (with better speakers) and it was alright. Anyway, thanks for watching 👍🏽

This is one of my favorite BCB songs. Brandi, Phil and Tim (the twins, and Dave Cobb wrote it. I remember seeing them perform it for the Grammy's and was mesmerized.

Melissa !!! And her Husband Luke Doucet is playing guitar. They'e had solo careers but formed the band Whitehorse years ago. One of my fave bands ! Check out their music. It's so good ! Far ranging and eclectic styles but essentially rock with folk, blues, country , roots influences ! Leave no Bridge unburned is my fave album of theirs but they have a lot of great stuff
