Hi Christien, so nice to hear from you & pleased you found this video! Of course I remember you, hope you're keeping well. Yes, Sue (also Jeanne, the bass guitarist from America) both lived with you around 1978. I spent some time in your home too & Robbie used to stay when she was on leave... I often think about how good you were to put up with such an invasion, ha ha! Yes, Sue sadly passed away (in Spain, where her family had their home) in 2014 after a brave battle with cancer. She spent several years in Portugal (Algarve) before moving back to Spain & had a great life in the sun, always playing music. If you're on Facebook, you might be interested to know that Jeanne created a (closed) Wicked Lady Group with photos, memories, etc. Best wishes xx

I love how she's saying about how it wasn't as good as the old days. Every generation always says it was better back in the olden days. The truth is, if we were transported back there now, we couldn't cope. We'd be reaching for non existent phones, internet and other modern tech. Looking back to the 70's when I was a kid, no thank you, I prefer my current lifestyle.
@teeteringonthebrink.3058 ай бұрын
I think it's more to do with the fact we inevitably grow older and it's our youth that we actually miss. You mention todays technology and it's thanks to the internet that we are able to take a trip back in time, something previous generations didn't have. I do also think age and experience makes a person more cynical, depending how their life has panned out down the years.
@smallfeet45816 ай бұрын
@@teeteringonthebrink.305 I preferred olden days as life seemed easier , plenty jobs and wages you could get by on , families went walks together and peace was revered , but I know it wasn't so good for everyone
@teeteringonthebrink.3056 ай бұрын
@@smallfeet4581 I agree, life did seem easier and less complicated. There is a lot I miss about my youth especially some (but not all) of the people who are no longer in my life now, whether deceased or simply having lost contact with. We always say we'd like to back to the past, but then wouldn't we miss certain special people we have in our lives now, who were not around during our younger days because they had yet to come into this world? I know I would.

Hi Kitty, thanks for your comment. I think I remember you from those days (I'm Jill, guitar/vocals, Wicked Lady). Great times in the bar with Els & Margot all those years ago... Was staying in London for my first trip out of the States and had to take a quick trek down to Portsmouth to see Victory. She's being worked on, so there's scaffolding up her port and starboard sides but she's still a beauty! Imagine seeing her at full sail! Her big backside is now my screen saver lol Good work on the model, love the copper platting!

@@daneelolivaw602 It was a great to be able to tour HMS Victory. Only the outside is covered up by scaffold and not totally. It's a great thing they can work on her still, and let interested folks go through nearly all the ship. I hope I look that good when I'm some 258 years old lol. As far as the other ships, I was really only interested in Victory. I was on holiday and needed to watch what I spent, otherwise I would have toured HMS Warrior too. and the other ship...can't seem to remember its name.
