If you can't modulate the power you probably don't want a 450bhp plus drivers car anyway.... unless I guess for commuting and every day driving it would be nice.

Brilliant KZbin maz , there is nothing better than a rear wheel drive , and the feeling you get from feed back it gives you, As a older fellow i had rear wheel drive cars through my younger days , but it seams most manufacturers have gone down the road of front wheel drive. I think you should do a KZbin on what you're thoughts are about the new jaguar add ,and what you're thoughts are on the future of jaguar ?.

I have a P450 RWD. Average about 25mpg (no city driving) can see up to 33/34 on a longer run. About 2mpg worse than my previous V6S, well worth it. Has to be RWD for me, never considered AWD, even living up here in the NE of Scotland. I love the fact you have to respect it on cold damp days. The car feels alive as the rear end wiggles and squirms under acceleration. Sure it's not as quick off the line, but keep AWD for the P575 (or your SUV).

Casual motorway commute I can hit 30mpg, normal every day driving is around 18-22 depending on traffic etc. Foot down, single figures... 👍 It's a 5.0, so I don't really care about the mpg, but like you I was curious to see the real life numbers.

Congrats on the two year ownership of the F-Type! Sorry to hear insurance costs are getting crazy, I recently got a 2017 F-Type R in the US. It replaced my previous 4 door sedan (saloon? haha) in the policy and I was able to keep the cost down by increasing the deductible. Good luck with the channel!

@WindmillFighter Hi, thank you. It's been a pleasure to read your comment, and yes mine also replaced a 4 door. Insurance rate was perfectly fine for me when I first got it, whilst it was consistent, it would slowly rise, despite added discounts and experience

I personally don't like this technology of push starts and key fobs especially after mine failed when I went shopping came back car wouldn't start. E brake stuck and I was stuck at a parking lot . That time I have a new battery , recently serviced the car . The Car wouldn't even turn on to open the electric windows. The dependencies they've added to modern vehicles seem cool at first but once you're stranded when something fails you realise how little this technology was tested but also there's no "worst case scenario" planned out. They don't test these things as much as they should

I had one of these for about 3 months. It looked beautiful, sounded amazing, but it was shit to drive, really bad. Understeery on entry and wallowy on exit, somehow it felt hard riding and yet so sloppy. I know its not a sports car, but honestly a diesel bmw 5 series estate makes this feel like a joke. It chased camber on the road like nothing else and I never felt any confidence at speeds over 60, it felt dangerous and not in a good way, completely disconnected from the road. I had all the tyres changed, had a 4 wheel alignment and checked all the bushes and links, it was apparently fine, except it was still awful. I would recommend buying a CL55 AMG or even a Conti GT if you can find one that has been well looked after.

@CharlesCoaston I prefer Phase 2.5 (late 2018/2019) with the latest infotainment system available, along with full LEDs, and frame less interior mirror but without the digital instrument panel and smaller headlights.
