Ho long until you need to use another battery to power up everything again?

My setup isn’t massive, so I’m usually fine running on one battery through the entire day. Of course the more items you’re running off the battery, the faster it’ll drain.

I don’t typically add anything else. The clothing does a pretty good job of keeping the wind down. But if I needed to, I’d add a fur cover or something similar

I have the Rode Lav 2s which have a front capsule and that makes it really hard to hide because you cannot cover the front part.
@SeanWoodsMedia2 ай бұрын
I have one of my Sennheiser lavs that’s like that that doesn’t have a removable screen. What I’d say do is checkout some new lavs for your setup. You can checkout the Deity W.Lav Pro. For the price, it’s a great mic! Just be sure to get the correct adapter to fit your Rode. Then you can also check out the BubbleBee concealer for the Deity W.Lav Pro that will make things a lot easier when it comes to hiding the mic.

Hey Sean! Stumbled upon your videos while doing some research on hiding lavs and really appreciate the information. Thank you so much! Before I got into film I worked at a few studios and went to school for sound recording and thought I’d offer some friendly advice back to ya! It’s almost always better to EQ before you compress / limit in your chain. That way you’re not bringing up undesirable frequencies! When I mix in PP I also like to use the audio mix tab instead of fx on individual clips. Then I’ll give each ‘speaker’ an ISO’d track. Not sure if you’ve ever tried it that way, but worth a try. Cheers man!
@SeanWoodsMedia8 ай бұрын
Hey David! Thanks a lot for taking the time to watch, but also for the advice and info! And you’re totally correct about everything you mentioned. Crazy thing is, I also have experience working at a recording studio and that was the process. For whatever reason, I didn’t follow that same process when I first got into adjusting audio in PP because I know better and never would do that in my ProTools session. With the audio track mix tab, for a very long time, it was a hidden feature to me and never knew about it until a couple years ago. So now, I most definitely use that page with mixing and creating global effects to fill tracks, instead of the FX shortcut way. I always thought that the audio ‘clip’ mixer page was their only mixer and since it had no where for plugins, that’s what initially pushed me to use the fx on the tracks. And the same way you stumbled upon my video, I was randomly watching someone’s videos and they open that window and I was like wait what??? Lol! Just thinking all this time, I never ran into that. I really appreciate you taking the time to offer the information! I need to try and work on doing a new video of the process. Hopefully folks will ready your reply as well to help educate them some with their process. Thanks again man!!
