God, I hate it when they play this song at accelerated tempos. It completely robs the song of its groove. Guess the coke must have been flowing at this gig.

Do we live our lives in moderation? Does this appear When you're around? And the deeper in debt The harder the bet Your thoughts are one of a clown Look out before you sign Your soul away The crystal ball, it seems Is not reading to - reading today Does the time seem right For some rethinking? It seems a gift that you have Are you living a dream Of express progress? It's just a thought that you have Oh, you should've know better When the warning light was lit As it did for others You preach a sermon When you talk of the messiah We are yet to discover Thinkin', lovin', feelin' But disbelievin' ...

Какое изящество, особенно ярко ощущающееся на фоне преснятины тогдашних советских ВИА.

I remember being in Newquay one summer in the early 1970s where this band played a few nights in one of the local venues. Thankfully, once home, I saw this record for sale in Watford W.H. Smith and this is one of the album's most delightful tracks.

The fact they made such a kick ass album in 94 shows how good they were.

Very good rock song, too bad rock radio was dead by this time and didn't play it. Also, I think the version of "Tonight is a wonderful time to fall in love" on this record is the best version they ever did!

Summer moonlight shines On a midnight train Lost in emotion she cries To the wind and the rain In silence she feels the breeze No mercy tonight The passion and promise has made Life broken inside She stills calls his name She can't let go She stills calls his name Broken hearted Another town rolls by As a distant rose And wonderin' what she will find When she gets home You, there's a part in flame But a careless heart Dreams are an open game Will tear you apart She stills calls his name She can't let go She stills calls his name Broken hearted She stills calls his name She's out of control She stills calls his name Broken hearted One love comes of the rest A bed of roses was a bed of nails Don't take the blame forever Just give it time

Milt did the first tour in 81. I had been working with Ken doing some recording in Denver where he lived at the time. Apparently Milt did not want to go out on that tour so I was his replacement. The rest of the band was the same. (1982).
Milt was not on that tour. Bass was John Leibundgut

Thank you for this info. I had been curious as to who took over for Milt. Do you know when the change of bass players occurred?

I bring this information for the people who don't know the history of Uriah Heep, back in 1979 the band wanted Peter Goalby to front the band as the vocalist but he was busy as the singer of another band called Trapeze, Ken Hensley insisted that they should wait untill Peter will finish the live tour with Trapeze but the other members of the band didn't want to wait and they offered John Sloman as the new vocalist, on this basis Ken Hensley left the band, the band did only one album with Sloman which i think was good enough, anyway, Peter Goalby was free from his duties with Trapeze band and he finally got the job as the singer for Uriah Heep, Peter did 3 albums with the band before he left, i believe that all the vocalists of the band were great, the album Abominog with Peter Goalby on vocals is considered to be one of the best albums in the band's career.

@@Heepster69 My information is the official version of the band Uriah Heep, all this information appears inside the remastered cd Abominog, the purpose of the information inside the cd was to tell the fans of the band how Peter Goalby arrived to the band, i guess that if the information wasn't correct the members of the band would not allow it to appear on their cd, i'm a great fan of Uriah Heep, i just bring the truth for the sake of the fans, i wish you well.
