Director made a nice dialog here: from it following can be seen - during their marriage Furious's word had more importance than her and he was used to that - that's why he tried to tell her off - but she didn't let herself be told off. In marriage his word was final, but she is her own now and she let him know she doesn't bow down before his decisiveness any more. She lead him through, was brisk but gave him a little compliment and got a suspended smile from him and in the end he conceded to her.

So when a single mom raises her son she's special but when the singer father raises his son he's not special. Double standard BS!!
