interesting statement of "sounds like Komastu is focused on safety and the journey to zero harm" when the animation depicts the operator having to operate remotely on foot next to the machine / in the drives.. then add in LHD's or Trucks backing up to the MC51 to be loaded... sounds like a recipe for someone to get run over / similar to line of sight LHD operation which industry has been trying to move away from for many years.

This looks like an amazing shovel. It's obvious that a lot of thought went into getting the increased capacity while keeping the shovel weight reasonable. Beautiful engineering. We hope to be able to lift it with our Megalifter one day. Let us know if you need support... literally. 😉
