Yo at some point could you throw in a video ab different roundstarts and whats best per characters. Starting with Robin on defense (no levin) is fine but would like an idea ab starting offense mixup. Possibly on stages robin naturally struggles on like Kalos or Town

I utilize most of these online. Sadly, about half of these are doable with confidence and over 10ms, but damn are they "I just outplayed you" satisfying

i didn't think robin had any true follow ups from dthrow. is it still true on 1F escape options? i also didn't know about arcthunder thunder, that's a very mean combo lol. the knockback is just perfect for the nair. also i didn't know you can combo two arcfires into up smash. it looks pretty tight though, i don't think i would've ever used this.
@Nefaliss24 күн бұрын
A few other ones I can think about : Single Arc Fire + Levin Bair (at around 40-ish %) Single Arc Fire + Levin UpAir (works fine up until 60-ish% but after that, you have to pre-emtively throw your UpAir) Levin Dair + Full Hop Levin Bair Falling Levin UpAir + Levin UpAir or Bair These are all hella basic ofc but it is as much as I can usually do 😭 Love this guide! Going to try to implement them into my own gameplay!

I have recently noticed Japanese Robin players using idj to checkmate kill confirm their opponents. Could you please explain specifically how it is done? I am very curious upon this matter.
@Mad_Ice_King24 күн бұрын
It is done through either tap jump or having two jump buttons that you can press right after one other.

Arcfire to Nosferatu in the absence of Levin Sword is one I thought you'd mention.
@Mad_Ice_King25 күн бұрын
It's a bit situational as it does not give you great stage control and isbonlt really worth it when you can heal a lot from it in my opinion.
@cullenhutchison652825 күн бұрын
@@Mad_Ice_King Of course it's not ideal, but what do you prefer to use instead when you don't have the Levin Sword and Thoron isn't charged?
@Mad_Ice_King25 күн бұрын
Bronze nair. It sends ar a good angle and can set up for a tech case on platforms
@cullenhutchison652825 күн бұрын
@@Mad_Ice_King I can see that being the case in some situations, but there are definitely times I'd rather heal out of kill % if the other character tends to skip disadvantage and/or the opponent is bad at mashing. On top of using it myself (granted I'm not a Robin main), I've seen other Robin players go for it many times before, which is why I brought it up. I'm guessing bronze up smash after Arcfire is never worth it?
@reesesullivan762913 күн бұрын
I mean one could try... but the hit boxes on that suck. Many better options. My go tos (assuming no Levin no leftover arcfires) are bronze nair, footstool tech chase, or very very occasionally just claiming the discard and prepping arcthunder.

I know this is completely unrelated to the video but I need to say this. I have played against you online with quite literally no knowledge of you, our first encounter was you raiding one of my doubles arenas with some dude called "Thompson" I believe (he played ridley). I was playing with a friend at the time and we were tweaking tf out cause you were stomping us so hard. It is so funny to me that you actually exist beyond Nintendo online of smash ultimate. But I need to thank you for kicking our asses so hard cause if it were not for you, I wouldn't have gotten so interested in improving my game. but yeah it is cool as fuck that you exist man
@Mad_Ice_King4 ай бұрын
It's been a while since I raided arenas with Thompson so it's pretty cool you still remember such. But yeah, sometimes it's easy to forget you play against someone else when there is so little room for communication in Nintendo titles in general. Glad my buttwhooping was of use!

I love your videos man, even discovered some techs because of your robin techs videos, I can't remember exactly what was the combo exactly tho lol, maybe Arcfire,jump>Arcfire,doublejump>Arcthunder and something else at a specific (low) percent, it wasn't a kill confirm BUT still it was very decent since it inflicted a lot of percentage, have a nice day 👍
@galaa_79364 ай бұрын
charging your Arcthunder beforehand of course, then doing the combo, forgot to precise
@galaa_79364 ай бұрын
The combo stops at the Arcthunder now that I remember, but I also remember that the spacing and the percents had to be very specific, if you didn't get the spacing right, the Arcthunder at the end wouldn't land on the target, that's how you would know if you messed up the placement or the percents, anyways, I believe you have more combo knowledge than me on this character so you'll be able to figure it out lmao (also you are the most knowledgable robin player I know about) have a good day lol, I'll stop squeaking 😂
@Mad_Ice_King4 ай бұрын
I don't recall a specific combo ending in Arcthunder. I do know the one that involve it though such as the shield poke setup or down air follow-up for its funky angle.
