It's a masterpiece. So many sences and meanings. So beautiful story, so virtuously told and shown

Perhaps THE most remarkable aspects about the film are beyond the astounding visual world, the subtle lines between real and fantastic, and the human story that any culture and age group can instantly relate to: the way in which it tells the story such that it teaches us without feeling that it is teaching us. Mystery, unexplained key aspects of that world and what happened to it actually help in telling the story. The masterstroke of the first and final frames that close a circle but also elevate the whole story to something universal - there is something from even Tarkovsky in the way it manages the expressive elements and the myriad symbols. Sure, the movements of the animals are phenomenally accurate (Pixar and major studios, eat your heart out), the scenery seems familiar (with elements of Far-East, Mediterranean landscapes and cities etc.) but impossible to pinpoint... but the adventure that reaches an unspeakably beautiful point that touches on the esoteric is told with a subtlety not seen anywhere, except in some legendary film makers', like Miyazaki's, case. Wonderful, dare one say therapeutic, without a single moment that ends up in some feelgood cheese or overblown Bambi-like dramaticism. Its honesty and genuine messages make the story work - and the execution is spellbinding. When was the last time that we could see something really NEW in an animated film? Well... here it is.

The Oscar are kind of a campaigning show. You have to suck up a bit to win. But it deserves best picture.

I watched Flow yesterday with my son, at a locally-owned theatre that is near where we live, and my goodness, I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. You get sucked into the world and it doesn't let you go until the final frame. I can't believe the whole movie was made on 'Blender'. There were some true masters of their craft working on this film 👏🏻

This movie is better then almost all the movies in the 2020’s 100%. And the one of the best in decades for animation of animals.

Hi, Gint. I am from Riga, Latvia and I am a cat lover. Hi to all cat lovers) I watched this masterpiece twice. It is a wonderful, powerful and very emotional animated movie/film. I am not the only one who is glad that such films are filmed here. They have received many world awards and are close to Oscar. This is great. But there is an interesting idea that is better than Oscar. Do a kind and good deed. Donate some of the money to Latvian animal shelters, for cats, dogs... I think it would be the best Oscar and a good example for the rest of the world. Best wishes, from Riga

Great reboot of a vignette from Brono Bozzetto's amazing 1976 Fantasia Parody: Allegro Non Troppo "Jean Sibelius's Valse triste: a solitary cat wanders in the ruins of a large house. The cat remembers the life that used to fill the house when it was occupied. Eventually all of these images fade away, as does the cat, just before the ruins are demolished." ~Wikipedia

Flow is an absolute masterpiece, and Gints is clearly a genius. Stay "independent." Big studio is not always the way to go. Personal stories told from a personal POV are what we need more of. I hope this "little cat movie" wins the Oscar.

I hope this movie does well in the box office. Love the concept, and pulling a movie without dialogue, specially as cheap you can get dialogue for "pet" movies is nothing short of impressive. Can't wait to see it on the movie theater.

I really loved your film. A masterpiece of its kind. Beautiful and emotional. A simple story that honours nature. The absence of dialogue makes it even easier to pay full attention to every detail. I think I'll go and see it again, and I'm already planning to order the DVD. Congratulations to you and your team.👍
