That's why we need more ev options and competition in the US. American made manufacturers are the ones that are ripping off consumers' pockets. They always offer less for more. When others offer more for less.

Li Auto is a mid tier EV in China, these features are standard on most of the vehicles their pumping out in China. That's why US is threatening to have 100% tariff on these imports.

FYI Marques the net thing is a sun shade for when you have infants in the car especially but also for real passengers too, but those get used a lot for babies in car seats to keep the sun off them on drives.

Acura desi9is just awesome, prefer it to GM models or Honda. Love that it runs Google automotive 😊 just to bad Acura is not available in Europe MKBHD great review ❤❤❤

Outstanding minivan but it can’t perform like a r1s. No off-road ground clearance, 4x4, etc. Also prefer how the r1s seats can fold down to make a flat surface. This van seems more like a better option for an executive vehicle for the business person who loves tech. Way better than a Tesla. Would like to see Chinese cars enter us market without all the hindrances from us government. It’s time to open up the market. We can’t retard progress forever.

Nothing about this car makes it a $75K car. It appears to be just another Honda "here's an EV", ("we really don't care for making them"), with no real care for its tech, comfort, range, etc. Sad actually.

People who think what the M5 should be are the 2nd hand buyers, not the original buyers. As you said, the original buyers want an autobahn and daily usable car, not a drift monster. These are the 2nd hand buyers 10 years later who buy M5s for the purpose of throwing it around.

I do not understand people's need to get an electric to go on roadtrips and if the range is not 500 miles this is no good. I've been on enough road trips to understand one thing, road trips suck. I'd be fine with an Ioniq or an ID.4, personally.

Worth noting, the heater in the back wasn't designed for baby formula lol. In China they only drink boiled water, not cold. Sounds insane to a westerner but for them it's normal!

Was thinking this might sell ok for under $50k. At $75k its probably gonna sell as well as the previous ZDX, which was nearly salesproof.

if we can really dial in charging infra and bring the prices down (or produce trims that aren’t luxury level) for normal cars like these, I really don’t see why someone would even have to think about getting an EV vs. ICE version of these. Used to be that EVs were weird and quirky, now they are legit exact copies of our standard vehicles but with better drivetrains and virtually 0 maintenance. Charging at home is a huge advantage as well, but having “gas stations” for EVs that can totally eliminate range anxiety would propel sales of these to the next level imo

I’d definitely consider one. A large concern is privacy. I don’t want some data-broker knowing everywhere I go! I feel that is a big issue for nearly all car manufacturers.

@AutoFocus The ZDX could easily be driven on road trips. All 2008 through 2020 Tesla Model S and X are going cross country on less than 190 kW charging speeds. The most I've ever seen is 180 kW in my MX and it only lasts 3 minutes then the charge curve steadily drops. You should always use the 20 to 80% charge times to compare EVs instead of the top kW number.

Looking at this and then seeing the Western car market crashing... No wonder. Getting this thing around 60-80k while western cars that look and feel cheap and plastic cost 100k + Sure I cannot comment on the quality that Chinese cars might have but everything else does seem like a completely different world.

You should also review brands like Zeeker, Nio and Xpeng, the premium Chinese brands are much more advanced products than what you get from the “traditional” brands.

For years, I hated that phones would barely last a day on one charge. More recently we're getting good battery life at last. When will the car industry work this out? M'y 2016 second hand basic car does 850km with 50l of petrol. I can't imagine paying 7x that and not getting at least 600km out of it.
