I was in college during the early 90's. I loved music and knew many of the new or alternative groups of the time Cocteau Twins, Enya, New Order and on and on. Here I am in 2024, my 19 year old son talked to me about "Shoegaze" and now I have finally discovered Slowdive. I love their music, Kisses, Sugar for the Pill, When the Sun Hits, Slomo, Alison to name a few. Such amazing, chill songs.

im actually not sure theyd be at odds, I think Max is very liberal and also very leftist, though different backgrounds form different opinions ie growing up in Minneapolis as opposed to growing up IN Israel will obviosuly get you two different outlooks on the ongoing war. I can tell you though that during the first few weeks of the war Max was in Israel volunteering in food shelters

he's currently helping the group first light after October 7th, which is a music group to bring "peace" to people in israel through the arts. i will say by definition, this is a zionist project since it reinforces israel and triumph over this "dark period." adrianne is fundraising right now for Palestine Children's Relief Fund. those are the facts!

It's very interesting, I saw some folks on Instagram claiming that Adrianne is a "huge Zionist," which seems like a baseless accusation as far as I can tell. Speculation about Max's politics is fair play I guess, but he seems pretty private and hasn't publicly taken issue with the rest of the band supporting humanitarian efforts in Palestine/opposing the ongoing Israeli aggression.
