Loved this video! Do you know about another pickup that sounds as similar as posible to the middle pickup? I don't care about the look THB, just the sound. I'd like to do a replica too but I haven't been able to find a teisco pickup, so i'm looking for a pickup with similar sound. Cheers!

Best comparison vid I've seen. Great job! My thoughts after viewing this a few times: The vintage sounds best. Staytrem second. Mastery third. Custom fourth. Mustang fifth. Halon last. Very interesting. 🤔

The Mastery sounds the best by far on this comparison. Great sustain, crystal clear highs. The Mustang and Staytrem both sound muted and muffled, and the Halon brings in these piercing, whistley upper-mid tones. The OG sounds good, like a normal Jazzmaster. But of course, the string slippage issues.

interesting video. To my ears the difference is minimal if even there, certainly not a $150+ change in tone. A tad more or less sustain makes zero difference in my playing. Crazy how expensive some of these are, I have a Squire Jaguar and I'm certainly not putting a bridge on there that costs almost half the price of the guitar. I did put some electric tape around the feet of the stock bridge to stop it from wiggling and I added a 1mm shim under the neck, all fine with that little cheap mod. Some of these look so bizarre and out of place too. Not my cup of tea.
