Easy, Nidgoggr doesn’t need shield Fighter to get over 70 Flat DR on her own, ppl were complaining that Laguz Loyalty was lacking DR piercing, but we are entering into a meta where tanks will stop having %DR and only will have Flat DR so Piercing will be completely irrelevant

Like, you can argue that the Laguz Loyalty has only a buff by 50% damage reduction stats so like stop being so negative PM1 told us that Legendary Nanna is going to have a weapon refine next month. So you don't know what's coming like who can predict that early? Oh and one last thing OG Niohoggr has a same as the Desert Ike's skill where her PRF weapon gives her by 50% damage reduction stats so you can tell that OG Niohoggr is same as Desert Ike and they both have a Exclusive sabotage skill yes both OG Niohoggr and New years Niohoggr but doesn't have a Damage reduction only Exclusive Sabotage skill and a Divine Toxin.

@@nobunagaoda9277 both Nidhoggrs have Divine Toxin, the key difference is that one buffs Allies and the other debuffs enemies I’m not comparing Ike with Nidhoggr I’m comparing Laguz Loyal to Laguz Friend and why they are both good I mean yeah L!Nana counters Shield Fighter bc she negates Defensive specials, same goes for Spring Karla and Fogado, I hope IS release more units or even skills with this effect

With Laguz Loyalty and Laguz Friend 4 they both have a same amount of damage reduction boost except one is a +10% one. On paper yes, but in practice they tend to die more and being blue does not help either since E!Lyn just blows them away also Heidrunn’s mere existence makes it so hard to use them properly, this comes from me who have them at +6 and love to use them

i have a crazy build with them, i swap their a skill for distant bonus doubler, give them miracle as their special, and laguz friend for their b. gave them attuned erika's null-c disrupt as their attuned skill and hardy bearing for their seal. they cannot be killed and still deal decent damage because they attack four times

I've spent most of today just expirementing a defense team to tank my base Niohoggr with proper support. Not. Even. Remotely. Close. During a recent Arena Assault run, threw her out against a +10 E!Ike, Fortifcation and everything. Still wasn't close match. I'm mad I won that. I'm literally at my wits end with what to do against her! 🐀💢

I think a refreshed E!Lin with miracle and brave support wim the matchup

@ for my test, Lyn had treachery, triangle support, and hexblade , and she barely dealt any damage. I also tried most other true damage nukes with similar setup, like Niovalnir, Desert Igrene, Fallen Ursula,and even Attuned Miccaiah. The closest we got was 3/4, and since she had Heithrun support, it’s basically doesn’t matter.

Now you know why I added the 'E' in Niðhöggr's name.
