In tears right now. Thanks for sharing Wilbur's life story. Congrats incredible family for so much love, respect and pampering. Wilbur was a truly rock star!!!! He has the it-factor.

Aloha David, I must be honest, I’ve lead a very violent life as a retired U.S. Marine that was followed by lots of pain and suffering. I can’t even go through an airport without being strip searched until last year when TSA started allowing those of us with medical implants to step into those new blow job cylinders at the airports now. I can’t begin to tell you where those idiots have stuck those metal detector wand on my body in the past, it’s humiliating. They would do it in front of God and everybody, especially at LAX airport. I rescued two newborn kittens two years ago and third one recently that looks just like Wilbur except it’s female tabby. She isn’t my cat but I take care of her part-time at a home that’s only about 5 minutes away. It was the picture of Wilbur that attracted me to your video. Looks just like the female tabby that I’m taking care of now. All three of these cats has changed me in so many ways over the last two years, the way I look at life now and the bad thoughts that I had before when I just thought that I couldn’t handle life anymore. I wasn’t expecting the ending of this video that brought tears to my eyes, or eye rather. I’m am so sorry that your family lost a very dear friend, companion and prized family member, which I believe was the point of this video, a tribute. You can try to find another cat to adopt you. You will never ever forget about Wilbur but you can still find another goofy cat just like Wilbur. Many cats are funny and goofy, trust me, they are out there. I have a female tuxedo that likes to scratch the wall behind her litter box before she covers her business with the litter in the box, lol. No two cats are the same but they all have one thing in common, they all teach us things about ourselves and somehow knows how to point these things out to us, like learning to be calm and live in the moment instead of the past. They somehow know how to bring the best out of us and to be kind to others. Thank you for your tribute video of Wilbur. Mahalo-🤙🏻

He got a lot of love but it seemed he was too lonely , maybe why he was so needy for attention

I have commented on this video a few months back. I watch this almost once a week. It is absolutely one of the most precious animal videos I have ever watched. People who don’t dig cats or have never had one don’t know what they are missing. We have a solid black cat and he is the most loving, entertaining and coolest animal I have ever been around. He is a cat that demands attention. He also gives it back. Cats are cool

What a beautiful tribute to your orange fuzzy, polydactyl friend ! I have 2 polydactyls a brother and sister from the same litter. I believe polydactyls make it their mission in life to keep their humans entertained and on their toes! Thanks for sharingWilbur’s story.❤

Nice. We get a bird on a light like that every year but it freaks out when we let the dogs out and eventually abandons the egg/chick.

She is such a good mama. I love birds and this is a new side of David Pogue, that I also love. I have been a fan for years and I NEVER miss CBS Sunday Morning.

David Pogue...you told the story of your cat, very well. 23+ years is a long time for a cat, even if they have 9 lives.

What a beautiful story....My cat Trimpy was no more than a month old when I found her in a food store parking lot all by herself....I brought her home and she was with us for 17 years.....she too was fascinated with the shower, she jumped right in with me, she did this all her years! Walt in Miami

I've loved cats all of my life. I was raised with cats (and an occasional dog or two), and grew to admire their stature; their grace and their "catified" style of love. Cats live far longer than do dogs.
