Awesome video! And recent to. There's a lot of guys out there on the dodge/ Cummins groups everywhere always asking the common questions, 'how much or how hard is it to manual swap my automatic'? lol Every guy with an automatic is at some point or another going to wish the had a manual, but no guy with a manual ever wishes they had an automatic. I considered a manual swap on my '06 mega cab 24v, it would have been cheaper for sure. Doing a full billet built to the hilt bullet proof stage 5000 (sarcasm) 48 was about $9500 bucks. I sold that '06 mega cab it's the only auto trans I've ever had and never again, I've had 5 first gen', non intercooled and intercooled, all 5 speed getrags. The get rags are actually not a bad trans. There pretty stout, and a bomb proof cast iron gear driven np205 will bolt up on a getrag, and they don't have the issues like nv4500's do. I now now have a 2002 24v HO 6 speed. The nv5600 is the ultimate! Considered a 'medium duty' dump truck trans. The g56 is categorized as a 'light duty pickup truck trans'. Alumn case, Mfg by Mercedes. I can't believe how much money they bring! Sheesh! Nv5600's are getting hard to find I hear to. They bring premium top dollar, especially the later model ones that have the bigger 1 3/8" input, the earlier models had a smaller 1 1/4" input and while they will work for a swap, and can be upgraded and rebuilt with a updated bigger input, aren't as desirable. $6000 grand well spent on the swap tho. It's becoming quite the popular and sought after thing to do. Especially since 2018 was the last year you could get a manual trans. I would suggest if someone's wanting to switch to a manual from an auto, then do it soon! They are just going to get harder and harder to find. I've heard even some of the trans builders have issues getting parts and new shafts for nv5600's, there's some parts that just ain't avaliable anymore or at all and make unwanted junkyard trans's worth gold, for good parts, shafts and gears!

Such a crazy failure and you walked away without totally the truck or getting seriously injured. Trying to find an older high mileage diesel and I would love to get a manual, but they are so hard to come by and the 2 I did find that were listed as manuals have both been listed incorrectly and had automatics in them. I'm trying to get a 1980-2010 F-350 diesel and get rid of my 2019 ranger and just fix and upgrade it as parts fail even the engine or tranny and if the tranny goes then I'm totally going to convert it to standard. The automatic and manual refab engines from ford cost exactly the same and I'm going to make sure the frame is top notch and everything else is fixable. Parts for my Ranger are just too expensive nothing standard fits and it needs Ranger specific anything and everything is 5x the price of any of the f series trucks parts and half of my engine is plastic I don't expect it to last to 250k miles and it's at 125k, parts are starting to need replacing already. Way cheaper than spending $50k for the most basic new work truck.

So no intermediate lines that feed from front block to the rear block? I have a 03 3500 Cummins and can’t find that line anywhere!!

Try looking at SS Tubes. They should have what you need.

I just got my 68 back from my mechanic after a 3 year build. I'm from Mississippi where the temps stay in the 90 - 100 range. I added the vintage air and I love it! Great video.

How is bleeding process? Do you have to have the computer to engage the ABS block?
