I wrote this for Song For Billa contest in 1981. It was joint first and became one half of a double a-side recorded by Billa to raise funds to supply fuel to the needy of the city that year. The co-winner was Cork's Own Charm by the Hegarty's. The recently departed Kevin Beale sang it in the final. My late mother and father were there on the night.
