I feel sorry for Tom Hingley here. It’s like playing in a pub when some drunken helmet gets hold of the microphone. 🎤 🙄

wow this is so nostalgic and it was just twenty years ago, I feel instantly old 😭 2005 is the same year KZbin was founded I think. Some of these interviews/moments feel so candid compared to now. Celebrities have become so aware now of the repeatability and viral nature of saying something in public.

River Island levels of high street fashion <3 Not sure Simon could ever show an ounce of sincerity in his life. It's a shame some of these pop singers are just doing their job, meeting contractual obligations, and are unwitting to that level of ambush humiliation comedy. It's bordering abusive.

Amazing song. Beautiful, catchy and everything you'd want in your music. Amazing that it wasn't a huge hit. And even more amazing that some modern person doesn't pick it up

Such a powerful song and he did not do it justice. Come on. There's a 9-minute remix of this song and I mean it is of epic proportions with the bass... And his voice sores above the clouds however this live version, is sad uninspired and pathetic. Wow. This is your number one hit and you flopped it!

One of the more memorable, not to say unusual, TOTP performances. By all accounts, Mark E Smith spent much of the day insulting the other acts on the show, especially Elvis Costello.
