it isn't just about the money, but you gotta eat too and things be getting more and more expensive on top of the fact that you are chronically ill with CHILDREN and might not be able to work a "normal" job (which let's face it, don't pay enough to cover bills, food, necessities and such). I'm a reseller and sells vintage and handmade stuff (from my own personal closet) and sales have been SLOW but I lost my SSI/disability check because evidently I'm not disabled enough to get help yet I *still* can't work. Times is tough. I got a child and I am also chronically ill so I'm a stay-at-home mom. I hope life starts gettin easier for *all* of us.

Just my 2…ok, 5 cents: There are several channels I follow: home transformations, natural hairlistas, commentators, blah blah and some of them have several channels and I 👏🏽HATE 👏🏽IT👏🏽 Why? With the influx of creators on the webs, it makes it challenging to remember all the branches of work/channels that belong to said creator. This is what playlists, on one channel, are good for. When I think of “JenFindsGems”, I think of it as a lifestyle channel and, in my opinion, one of the beautiful things about lifestyle channels is its inherent ability, and I’d argue, expectation, of your content pivoting. We humans evolve! 📈 The only reason why I’d suggest completely starting over is if your new brand/channel has absolutely nothing to do with your old one. I.e. “JenFindsBags” is all about finance/budgeting while “JenMakesSkins” is BTS 🙃 commentary about your new lingerie line. Also, you can rework the meaning of “gems” to relate to many things: a new spot in the city, a new* hair product, a new supplement great for MS, the moral of a story from an interviewee on your podcast, etc. (Speaking of ‘gems’, have you thought of changing the ‘g’ to a ‘j’?) * “new” is referencing said item being new to you, not necessarily new to the market. 😉

I don’t have enough experience to really give advice. I will say I started doing faceless content first and struggled and renamed it and started just doing me and it did help me. I’m slowly doing my thing but it’s been a climb at least.

This insight helps a lot, thank you!! I’ve always been intrigued by faceless channels because you get to keep a bit of ambiguity and mystery, I love that. How has your transition been since including more of YOU? 🥰

As long as it’s sold on Amazon, you can review and post it there! Just follow their guidelines because there’s some things you can’t do/say, like mention price or the word “dupe”.

I've had MS for 26 years, possibly more. I started the DMDs and found I was not getting better. So I stopped DMDs and followed Dr. Wahls. Removed Sugar, Coffee and eat a non-inflammatory diet. All my symptoms disappeared. I may get a tiny flair, due to heatwaves. I have been living my best life since I started following Dr. Walls and realized what works for my body and immune system and what doesn't. I'm stillI working and feel so reat! I wish you all the best!❤

I have RRMS and I have issues with my mental strength too, I just can't handle things as well as I could before MS. I also have had thoughts that I have ADHD, but I'm pretty sure its chronic illness issues. It is so frustrating not really knowing if we should blame it on MS or not. Who knows I guess. Try to just be genuine and its ok if you can't find words. You may have to just be more easy on yourself, I've been working on letting go of my expectations of perfectionism in the things I do.
@JenFindsGems10 күн бұрын
It's feels amazing to just been seen and heard here; THANK YOU! I agree, I had to let go of *some* areas of control and perfectionism (I'm still working on the others hehe) because with this illness, there's really more questions than answers. I hope that you are feeling okay and taking it easy this Holiday Season. <3
