Great lick lesson. Just a suggestion, clean and treat that fingerboard, it’s becoming unsanitary! With the right treatment, you’ll find it feels better and is easier to play. I use Turtle Wax Graphene (yes, it is meant for auto finishes). Your technique is very good and better than most. Your vibrato control is EXCELLENT!! 👍

And yes, the old Green Special is weel overdue a refret - I do get asked of it's a sRelic neck but the truth is it's just me 🤣 Believe it or not I do regularly clean strings and neck and I find withc hazel to be a cheap and effective way of getting all the dead skin and dried sweat off the strings and from around the frets ;-)

@@jmguitartuitionuk I'm playing all 8 beats. Ist measure I repeat the high note before coming back down, 2nd measure I don't do that, I just bounce back to the root at the end. Just to mix it up a little bit... Wash, rinse, repeat.

Yeah, like a lot of blues guys, Albert King licks are deceptively simple, but not easy. He only had a handful of licks, but he'd bend them and stretch them forever. Love his playing. Good lsson.
