Angelo. Thank you for showing this video. I haven't seen any others like it. I changed my rear mount on my '06 xB exactly the way you demonstrated. Thank you! 👊🤙

O ❤ brother let me tell you this , you save me alots of time . Because Back in time I was working in garage we use to use two lifts , one to hold the subframe & the single one in order to push & hold transmission . but I do not turn wrench since 2000 , becuse of the bad R shoulder & R knee & I only work on my family cars & then I had stroke , but by the help of LORD ✟ I am staying alive to take care of my family . I am still doing fairly alright with❤ the help of my LORD ✟ . I annonce + *** & blassing for you & family . Indeed you were a great help . you ❤ are amazing . Thank you & my LORD be with all .🇺🇸 🌾🌾🌾🍃🍃🍃 ✟ 🌿🍀🍀 . P.S . can I use the new studs or old one . Thank you for your response .🙏🙌👌👏👏👏

i always check parts before working on any car, thats how i noticed that in some engine/transmission mounts those studs are just pressed in. sometimes they are tack welded on but if you can find someone with a grinder or if you want to take on the challenge to remove the tack weld.

Ya, doesnt work too well. My motor mount in the back had the middle bolt go through the rubber while pounding the bolts at the bottom. Now i will attempt to cut the bolts some how

Good video. Heads-up though. I just got a new mount and those studs are now being welded on instead of pressed in. Also, if you remove the airbox and unbolt the other half of the mount (bracket) it comes out much easier.

I had a customer bring in his xb and yes the studs were welded so I ended up grinding off welds.

There is 3 bolts that connects the mount to the rear of the trans. I had difficulty removing and putting them back. Had to remove subframe to get to the bottom bolt

This could not come at a better time, doing some maintenance and one of my fix list is all the engine mount replaced, would be great if you can do AC fix too as that's also on my list.

Good tip for swapping it out quicker. I wouldn't bother filling it with poly since you can see how easy it is to swap it out! Now it doesn't matter if you have to swap it out every 75k miles. 👍

Thank you for the comment, I have done this before on honda civics back in the day. The new mount lasted about 7k miles because I go to the mountains frequently I aggressively down shit and take off very sudden causing it to rip again also add some money shifts lol.

@@angelodonate8272 Interesting. I drive very hard through the mountains too, always have, but I've never seen a mount fail that quickly. Are you using OEM mounts or cheaper quality aftermarket mounts?

That pulley noise is no bueno! Don’t poly the engine or trans mount if you don’t want teeth chattering vibration. The back was is good because it handles all of the torsional flex. 👍

There's a little vibration, I just did 3 hours waiting to cross back from mexico with ac on causing a load. The only thing I don't recommend is solid aluminum mounts those are a nightmare!! I'll get that pulley noise fix on next video.
