My friend did a 2.8 swap and he met a guy with a 3.8 swapped Chuvit back in the 80s. The latter Chuvit raced another friend with a Gen 1 Supra so hard on the mountain roads that it blew its straight six engine.

My friend put a 60* V6 2.8 out of a Firebird and a 700R4 out of a Corvette in his Chuvit, back in the 80s. Fun times.

The 3.8 comes out in the Buick Grand National, and yes I've heard of the 3.8 L 231!

An 84 CS was my 1st car in late 89. As it turned out, it was pieced together from a 76, a 79, and an 81. It had a few issues unique to Chevettes, such as the shift lever jumping out of reverse when backing up sometimes and wasn't the coolest car in a HS parking lot, but it was great for what it was. A lot of happy memories of roaming the Middle-TN country roads and crusing the small towns too with my buddies.

Crazy to think nobody has heard of the L67 or the 3800 in general, they're very well known and beloved. Also the 3800 was available in the Camaro and Firebird, the real shame is that they never came in any trucks or vans.

I bought a new 1977 2 door Chevette as a commuter car. It served me well until I traded it for a new 1979 Buick Regal. The Chevette turned out to be the better car

I live in Oklahoma, and we have summers as severe as Alberta winters. AC is necessary when summer arrives. Triple digits temperatures are standard.when you turn on the AC in the chevettes if feels like the emergency brake were applied. As a kid I lived in Calgary 1963-65 as my dad worked for an oil company. I loved my time there and still have dear friends in Calgary. Cheers from Oklahoma. PS I subbed

I did a swap on mine in 02 I blew up the little 1.6 4 banger and dropped in a 3.8 V6 non super charged and it was a major upgrade loved that little car

For comparison, my 2004 Mustang GT ran a 9.1 in the 1/8 stock. 8.7 with mild bolt on and a tune. So pretty good!

Those were great little cars. We had one for a loaner back in the day when I worked at a Pontiac body shop. The Chevettes and T100s were bullet proof.
