Hi there! How is the GT talking about fast and slow corners? Does it feel heavy and dificult to turn/do apex? Thank you!
@Icenurse
@Icenurse Жыл бұрын
This is the Interceptor not the GT, so it's a little different. It's super stable and lets you push all the way. I really trust the bike. As soon as it rides, you don't feel the weight anymore. (coming from a 390cc single cylinder, which was way lighter) Only feel it when parking in tight corners or moving it stationary.

I have a 2022 model, Svart 401, but the manufacturer sticker on my bike says ,"US-23 NOV 2021". I ordered the same puig ("dark smoke") windscreen, and tried to install it. But the side screws that came with the puig screen are not going in. I keep turning them and the keep rotating at the same place instead of tightening. So I removed the screen and try to install the factory screws back, but now even they are turning at same spot and not tightening. Can you suggest anything ? Currently I just pushed them in and have duct tape holding it from falling out.

I had the same problem! It was because the rubber bearings/nuts where damaged. You should get new one's at a local hardware shop, then you should be fine. I believe the one's you need where M5 or M6, if you bring the original rubber nut they'll be able to tell you which size you need. You can also buy them online at the Husqvarna, KTM website or any other online shop available in your country. Let me know if it all worked out!

Hi I reviewed this video again. Also, why did you get clear over a color? I think I saw one with color? Also, why did you get a 401 vs 701 or any other bike for that matter. Many people have said they do not like the look of the bike and the look is very polarizing. So, I am curious about your views. BTW, I have a 701 Svartpilen.
@Icenurse
@Icenurse 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul! First of all I believe there are 4 different types of windscreen colors ranging from transparent to all black. My personal preference was the transparent one because I was not sure if the black/grey one's would match the bikes look. Since I ordered it online, I didn't have the luxury of checking it out first. The Puig Windshield wasn't available in a shop over here in Switzerland. I'm not sure what drivers licenses you have in the country where you're from. In Switzerland/Europe we have two different classes. My license only allows me to drive motorcycles upto 35kW. That's why I went for the 401 instead of the 701. Plus it was the only one available at the moment of purchase. Since I needed a new motorcycle to commute to my new workplace, I needed it to be available right away and couldn't wait to long. I'm coming from a Honda 125cc which was a pain in the ass when driving on highways.... 😅 As for the looks of the Pilen-lineup I would say, you love it or hate it. The bikes have a very distinctive style, very different to other bikes on the road nowadays. That's exactly why I picked the Svartpilen. I didn't want to drive a Ninja or MT like everyone else.

Do those side bearings fit snugly inside the recessed holes holding the tachometer/multifunction display? I bought this windshield and the bearings diameter is too big for the recessed holes and the longer mounting screws didn't reach far enough to properly tighten it. I couldn't even install this windshield, really annoying.
@Icenurse
@Icenurse 2 жыл бұрын
I had to replace the sidebearings with new ones as well. Got them from a local motorbike shop for a couple of cents. 😉 Had no problems at all with the rest of the mounting. I have the 2020 model Husqvarna, maybe it's different with earlier models?
@JEP-Tech
@JEP-Tech 2 жыл бұрын
@@Icenurse Thanks, so I guess Puig chose the wrong mounting parts. I have a 2022 model which isn't any different than 2018-2021 models (only plastic color changed). I am requesting the seller send the correct hardware. I don't have any local hardware or motorcycle shops near me.
@Icenurse
@Icenurse 2 жыл бұрын
@@JEP-Tech that's really to bad! Sucks when you're looking forward to a bike upgrade, the description manual says easy mounting and you have to wait for parts to actually mount.... I'll cross my fingers that you may get the missing bolts and screws asap. 😉

Hi Rebal! So far I drove approximately 6-700km with the windscreen on and wanted to give you a quick update. Before I go into further details I want to mention that I'm a bigger rider (1,87). I still have the same experience as I had after my first couple of rides: When riding lower speeds I don't feel any difference. In medium speeds, riding 40-90km/h, there is definitely less pressure on the core and less body drag. On speeds above 90km/h there is still a lot of turbulence and windpressure on the shoulders and sides of the body. So far it does it job decent. The Husqvarna 401 is a scrambler bike and will never be 'as comfortable' as an adventure bike. The windscreen only makes a small difference in medium to high speeds so you have to make the decision if it's worth the money in the end. Don't expect a big difference. Personally I really like the looks of the windscreen. Especially when riding in the dark the headlight lights up the screen which looks amazing from both the riders perspective and front of the bike. I hope that this answers your question.
